0,5l bottle. Clear copper color. Very small head after really hard stirring. Malty, rotten eggs, brown sugar in aroma. Mould, sweet, caramel, mild dry bitter taste.

from Bier-Bienne - translucide reddish-brown beer under a disparate foam; aroma of caramel and hazelnut; gently toasted; medium-bodied and gently sticky; quite dry and with some decent bitterness; malty and caramelish aftertaste

Bottle by 03.10.12. Nose nutty, earthy, caramel, roasted cereal grains, just a touch of chocolate, really nice! Unusual color, sort of an amber-brown with a tan head. All of the above mentioned flavors, just a beautiful display of mid-range (i.e., roast between pale and scorched) malt, light hop prickling with faint grass and even a hint at citrus way in the back, quenching and juicy. Wild and lightly spic yeast. Mildly tangy medium body, low bitterness, and this was utterly satisfying.

Jonb5 (520) - Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 29, 2012
Ruby colour when it came out of the bottle but it faded and looked more copper at the end. Medium taned head which dissapeared fast. Smelled matly with a hint of vanila. Tasted lots of roasted malt with notes of cola. Long bitter finish, smooth texture, slightly oily. Found it very hard to finish. Not my thing.

Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts wonderful spicy, more and more fruity like dried fruits/plum. Great hints of caramell. Well balanced finish, still spicy, very drinkable. This is a great beer!
