Nice, heavy swingtop bottle, suitable for homebrew. Decent label of a napping monk. Foggy, dark tea colored brew with a respectable oatmeal head which sticks to the side of the glass. Very pleasant, nutty, slightly grassy malt aroma with distinct honey tones. Very smooth, very very nice. Sweet, malt forward, toasted straw and leathery notes, somewhat tannic. Very much en pointe and to style. Only complaint is that the brew went a little flat. Beer Stop, Tallahassee.

Bottle from Arden Wines, March 2016. 2:30am. My least favourite of the Weissnoher quartet (sounds like a 40s bebop combo) but still a decent beer. Fliptop pouring slightly veiled bronze with a fine narrow cream collar. House nutty, praline, cherry blossom, shrubby hop, toffee-hinting, Hovis biscuit nose. Sweet again but balanced and nuanced enough to keep you pivoting your elbow and searching for metaphors; milk chocolate, cherry, marzipan, toffee popcorn, thistle and digestives this time. I’m talking bollocks- this is just as good as the others; 737314.

Butelka. Aromat typowy, charakter lagerowy, karmel. W smaku goryczka niska, lekko słodowe. Nawet pijalne.

Ein sehr süßes und karamelliges Märzen. Interessantes Aroma, wenn auch nicht ganz mein Favorit.

Swing top bottle. 5.4%. Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Hazy, copper colour. Thin, dense, lasting, white head. Aroma is sweet and nutty. Some caramel. Notes of leafy vegetable. Bit of chocolate. Taste is nutty and sweet. Medium body. Soft carbonation. More sweetness on the finish. Tasty beer, but too sweet for me.

0,5 l Bügelflasche. Aroma: Karamellig, süß malzig, leicht würzig. Erscheinung: Kastanienrotes Bier, cremeweißer, feinporiger Schaum. Geschmack: Malzbetont, süßlich, ausreichend würzig, minimal bitter. Nachgeschmack: Würzigkeit hält sich, minimale Bitterkeit auch. Gesamt: Sehr gelungenes Bier.

Tallahassee, Fl. - Beer Stop - pop-top 500 ml bottle - labeled as Monk’s Fest. Slightly hazy, medium copper pour, slight off-white head that clings to the edge of the glass. Aroma has some molasses accents, some dates, a hint of brown sugar. Sweet leaning flavor, brown sugar, light maple syrup, some prune-like fruity accents, Decently thick mouthfeel.
