The best Wheat in Bamberg. Not as yeasty and saur as most other wheats. I had it on a cafe on the old bridge at "Das alte Rathaus" in Bamberg Centre. I think the extremely beautiful surroundings around me could have influenced on my perception on this beer.

omhper (25547) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - OCT 9, 2006
Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm. Cloudy yellow, rich creamy head. Bready banana aroma. Dry, yet fruity with soft mouthfeel and medium amount of yeast induced esters. Low carbonation makes it soft and very drinkable. It also lifts the flavour. A well made weizen.

rauchbier (3925) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - MAR 13, 2005
Bottle, at the Rathaus-schänke in Bamberg. Hazy gold, good fluffy white head and good condition. Pleasant but muted sweet yeast and banana in the nose, quite clovey-phenolic in the mouth and a slight graininess in the finish.

Cloudy with a subtle wheat flavour. Some would say that it was that subtle that it wasn’t there but I quite liked it.

DruncanVeasey (8260) - Nr NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - APR 14, 2007
5.3%, 0.5L bottle from Dunnes Stores, Fuengirola. Apricot haze, impressively retained fine white head. Wood, banana and barley nose. Dry, bitter and boozy for a Hefe. A touch of apple and almost whiskeyish boozy malt. More like some of the drier Belgian Wits than a big, fruity Bavarian.
