COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Starting with a traditional German malt bill consisting of 50% Pilsen malt and 50% wheat malt, we then kettle sour the wort, meaning we innoculate it with lactobacillus bacteria after mashing and wort run-off but before racking to the fermenter. A generous apricot addition complements the tartness of the base beer and the sea salt and coriander add to the complexity, producing a beer that is tart, dry, salty, fruity and extremely refreshing.

On tap at GABF 16’. Pours a hazy gold with small frothy white head that lasts. The aroma is strong apricot flesh, wheat, sea salt. Thin body, juicy apricot, wheat, light tartness and salt in finish, very good.

Thirst quenching with slight apricot flavor but not over the top. Sourness like many Goses.

UPDATED: OCT 11, 2016 32 oz crowler shared, purchased at Mr. B’s Wine & Spirits. Light hazy orange appearance with a small white head. Aroma of stone fruits, light sour funk, herbal spice and a hint of yeast. Similar flavor, tart and fruity with a mild puckering feel. Light and crisp with a tart, fruity finish and a hint of salt. Pretty tasty overall.

Clear light golden with a thin white cap. Nice saline and lemony apricot tones on the nose. Crisp and lightly salty flavor full of light bodied wheaty backbone and a staunch apricot flavor through the finish. Crisp and lightly salty and a little tart. Light lemon zest throughout as well.

32 oz. crowler. Clear pale golden. Smells of wheat, light acidity, and the faintest bit of apricot. Tastes of wheat, light tartness, some apricot. Definitely more than I got from the nose, Coriander and a slight salty finish. Light body with low carbonation. Kinda meh, even with the apricot.
