Canette bue en septembre 2014. Session bitter.

Can. Light red body, small light brown head. The aroma is musty but quite weak. The taste is actually not so bitter but it’s a good try.

473 mL can. Light brown body with a thin white head that doesn’t last long. Malt aroma, bit of sweet toffee. Body is malt up front touch of bitterness at the end. Mild toffee, but nothing really jumped out at me. Not my favorite style, and not my favorite in the style.

oz can to half-pint glass (shared with the Mrs.). Looks solid; a mostly transparent caramel orange with off-white head that dissipates into lacing pretty quickly. Smells malty and mildly toasty. A touch of toffee as well. Tastes like it smells, but thinner, and without the toffee. Average on the palate with mild carbonation. Okay.

Pour out of the baby blue tall can -- that states this is 4% & not the 3.5% listed here -- is mop sauce brown with a few clouds of foam scattered across the top. It’s a decent mix of malts & water & vague vegetableness. Not particularly exciting. Would probably go better with some charred meat & potatoes sloshed in oil & salt.

Draft - Toffee and some light twig. Clear deep gold with almost no head. Toffee and some nice earthy twig that is well balanced with sweetness. Really nice.

Nutty aroma with some fruity esters coming through. Light brown colour with an off white head that fizzles away rather quickly. There is a touch of nuttiness and caramel in the flavour. Has a smooth mouth feel and a balanced finish.

Bottle. Caramel and nutty aroma. Taste is nice and malty with some good English hops. This is better than I remember. Nice English ale.
