Bottle. Golden brown with pillowy layer of beige head. Aroma of heavy malts, bourbon and something sour. Immediate strong alcohol taste with a metallic tinge ironed out by sweet caramel. Finishes slim and a tad watery. Metalchopz (3364) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - APR 10, 2012
Originally rated December 2004. This is the last brew to review from Wellington’s fine brewery. Poured a deep brown-orange colour with red highlights and a nice tanned creamy head. Beautiful lacing was left behind. The aroma seemed very sour with a mix of chocolat. The taste was very well balanced between the sweet chocolat-toffee and the bitterness. Lots of fruits were found in the mouth. Pretty darn good ! Johnsense (1629) - - MAR 27, 2012
Dark amber/brown pour with 1 finger head. Malty aroma, caramel, fruity. Sweet fruit taste with lots of caramel malt, raisin, slight bit of chocolate. A tad thin otherwise nice. Quite drinkable. reebtogi (6235) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 7, 2012
341ml bottle pours a dark amber color with a 2 finger light beige head that has decent retention and leaves a thin spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma is caramel malts and earthy hops. Taste is caramel malt sweetness with hints of chocolate and a moderate hoppy bitter finish. Decently balanced flavors with a medium body and moderate carbonation. A fairly decent beer for the style. whitecap (289) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 27, 2012

From bottle. Pours with slight white head and dark caramel colour. Slight malty aroma and strong slightly bitter taste. UM02 (366) - Quebec, CANADA - AUG 23, 2011
Nice roasty malt taste. The finish is a little bit weak and watery or else I would probably give it an even higher mark but on the other hand that makes it easy to drink and it is still a very nice strong ale. Most of the flavour is in the foretaste. This brewery seems to be much better with darker, stronger beers than lighter pale beers. thorongil2 (2997) - , Ontario, CANADA - JUN 23, 2011
(bottle) clear dark amber with small brown head; faint aroma of stewed fruit, bit metallic at the beginning; balanced satisfying flavour, quite good beernbourbon (1590) - Iowa City, Iowa, USA - FEB 23, 2011
Bottle (one of the sweetest bottle caps ever). Pour is deep clear brown with a small quickly dissipating white head. Aroma is corn malt, faint dark fruit, and light brown sugar. Flavor is lightly sweet with notes of brown sugar and faint fruit. Very clean flavor and effervescent body. This is so easy to drink.
