very nice aroma of roasty malts, chocolate and sweet fruit (cherries?). the flavour was quite nice too, a little on the light side but very good for an ontario beer.

Old rate. 355ml bottle from my cellar, aged for a couple of years. Having had this before I cant say aging has done anything remarkable for this beer. Tastes much as it did when first bought. Pours a deep, dark copper colour. Aroma of raisins, and lots of malts. Has a hoppy and sweet flavour with moderate complexity. Alcohol appears towards the end but in balance. Decent.

341 bottle. Pours deep red-brown with thin white head. Nice aroma of berries, malt, maybe raisins? Taste is complex and sweet, with slight bitter finish. Has that characteristic Wellington taste that I cant quite put my finger on. Great winter-warmer, and stands alongside the Imperial Stout as this brewers best work.

341 ml bottle from Beer Store. Pours a clear dark brownish ruby with small off-white to light tan head. Aroma is fairly mild with nuttiness and sweet fruit. Flavour is quite malty - caramel and nutty with some sweet dark fruit, light chocolate and roast.

Solid strong beer with a pretty complex malty flavour and an alcoholic bite. Wouldnt drink large amounts of it, but its well worth trying.

Dark, from a bottle, not a smooth taste, the taste seems a little all over the place. I wouldnt buy this beer again
