Great dark beer, with dried fruit reminiscences in its aroma and with a heavy an clean flavour.

The darkest red colour, nose like black forest cake, a bit malty at first followed by fairly complex fruity notes. Slightly thin texture -- not highly carbonated but quite acidic. Gave me heartburn, but otherwise a fine choice.

Conspicuous fruity malt heading a herd of fine caramel, licorice and candy sugar…And a sturdy bitterness stays at the back to make sure no one goes astray…And of course no one does…Beautiful beer…

Bottled. Dark brown. Rather malty, roasty, salty with lingering bitterness. Full bodied beer with lots of flavour.

Looks like a beer, acts like a beer, taste like a beer....nicely done wellington. Full bodies apple maple taste, with excellent head and long lasting lace. Unfortunate bitter finish.

Another good one from Wellington! Medium body with good malt flavour and a bitter hop finish

Nice dark brown ale with a nice moka head. Intense malt nose, and even moreintense nutty malt taste with woody, almost porto or vinous tendancies. Alcool warmth enrobes your mouth and creamy mouthfeel. Yummy.

Small light tan head that quickly disappears. Dark brown colour. Big fruity aroma is immediately apparent with plums, raisins, cherry, and red grapes appearing. Faint spiciness and candi sugar are also here over the roasted malt backbone. On the first taste, I get most of the fruitiness that the smell led me to expect and some nuttiness as well. Light sweetness and just enough bitterness to finish it all off. Another tasty brew from Wellington County Brewery.

Poured a deep brown colour; fizzy decent sized head. Not much aroma to speak of, what was there was rather malty/nutty. Slightly bitter, deep sweet malty taste, short finish that could have used a little more bite (hops). Overall, I was surprised at how good this was. It was darker than I expected, the alcohol was there but balanced nicely. Another good beer from Wellington and probably their best from the bottle.

Dark cola-like appearance with a thin beige head. Delectable aroma of raisins, dates, brandy and brown bread. Chewy, thick, mouthfeel. Alcohol is hidden rather well - would make a good winter warmer. Same flavors as the aroma come through, not sickenly sweet though, also a hint of pipe tobacco. An excellent strong ale.
