Dark amber body with reddish hues. Creamy looking beige head. Aroma is sweet, hoppy, with some bitterness present. Malty sweetness with hints of caramel. A nice balance of hops too. Creamy mouthfeel with nice aftertaste. A nice treat!

, some bitter aftertaste. Not so pale, maybe name owes itself to cross-style with the cream, which is sugar biscuit in the dough, Bitter over sweet.

I didn’t enjoy this one as much as i had hoped. good attempt at the style but it falls a bit short.

UPDATED: JUL 3, 2004 Tasted in Ottawa from the LCBO. Tasted in english pint. Aroma is hoppy but sweet. Somewhat malty and spicy. Appearance is a rusty orange colour with a thin white head. Taste is fairly well balanced with equal hints of matly sweetness and hoppy spice finish.

Crockett (1117) - Southampton, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 24, 2004
Tap: Pours a pretty amber, medium sized off white sudsy head. Mild caramel nose with hints of herb and earth. I suppose this is an English style. Even so, it still isn’t hoppy enough. I think the "Cream" doesn’t make any sense. Unless cream means "Don't get too excited".

Tessic (1152) - Brantford, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 9, 2004
Pours a dark copper colour with a white head that doesn't last long. SCents include a moderate doughy / earth aroma with sugary scents. Initial sip offered a toasted grass flavour with more doughy notes. Palate was a little bread / wheat like with a smooth finish.

CapFlu (5127) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 24, 2003
(Draught) At the Woolwich & Arms, Guelph. Thin, white head and a copper body. Slight malt aroma with cascade hops? Bitter front followed by a sweet, creamy, malt mid-palate. Next to no carbonation. Very good.

joeycapps (1468) - Waterdown, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 18, 2003
Clear copper. Tan head. Sweet aroma of caramel, honey, and orange. Medium body, some resin. Malty (caramel) & fruity (orange) flavour. Clean, dry, lightly hopped finish.

Radek Kliber (7352) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - AUG 17, 2003
Light amber, white head. Light grassy aroma. Too sweet to be real P.A, but drinkable nether less.

UPDATED: SEP 17, 2007 Sept 2007. Bottle. Golden amber body with a smallish white head. Lightly hoppy aroma. Grassy, lightly fruity. Similar flavour, mildly hopped, grassy, lightly grainy. Average palate. Touch dull. 5-6/3/5-6/3/12 - 2.8

TFOB 2003. They are calling it Special Pale Ale now. Amber colour, slight head. More hops in the aroma than the flavour. Enjoyable but doesn’t make me crave another. 5/3/5/3/12 - 2.8
