The beer pours a beautiful shimmering black with a creamy tan head. The aroma was coffee, roasted malt, chocolate milk and vanilla. The mouthfeel was full bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was milk chocolate, coffee, and nuts. Loved it!
Can [473ml] at C’est What. Pours a very dark ruby-brown with an average size diminishing frothy tan head. Some lacing on the glass. Aroma of coffee big-time along with roasted malt, lactic notes,
chocolate and light hops. Big coffee flavour along with roasted malt, lactic notes, light leafy hops and chocolate. Roasty/coffee bitter finish. Medium bodied, almost creamy mouthfeel. Pretty good coffee beer.

Deep black/brown pour with a thick creamy tan/brown head. Lots of heavy coffee aroma on the nose along with an unctuous fudgey chocolate aroma. Rich palate without being cloying. A little bit of warmth in here which is really appealing on a cold rainy day like today. Rich and oaty with a lot of lightly herbal bitterness. Lingering light coffee/cocoa bitterness. 473ml can from Ces’t What? Pours black with a large creamy tan head. Aroma is dominated by freshly ground coffee a bit of hops and a small amount of caramel malt and an even smaller amount of vanilla. Medium carbonated smooth body. This stout poured a deep black colour with a creamy, tan coloured head with nice lacing. Scents include ground coffee and very distant cream and thats about it. First taste was smooth and creamy with flavours of coffee and a hint of cocoa and caramel. Sampled on tap at the brewery and from can: Pours pitch black with a small 1 finger tight cap - modest retention. Moderate carbonation. Aroma has big roastiness (both coffee and grains), light lactose sweetness and leafy hops. Light creaminess to the mouth feel but a tad thin. Flavor- big blast of coffee and roastiness in front, equal hop bittering right up front, finish sees the lactose sweetness emerge under the coffee...lightly bitter bite at the end. I think Wellington is onto something here - my 2 favorite stouts (milk and coffee) in the same glass. This was a fair attempt but needs more lactose and stiffer body and it would be great.
