This dark golden coloured ale hugs the palate with great intensity. Its malty aroma is complemented by the gentle nose of Banana. Its flavour unfolds with a sensual sparkle and a smart crispness, which balances its aroma perfectly. Tropically fruity; its ripe banana flavour, emphasised by a hint of bitterness, comes from the addition of real fair trade bananas and finishes with an emphatic, steely dryness.

bobinlondon (1295) - Harrow, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 6, 2009
Bottle from Waitrose. Chestnut with an off white head. As it says on the lable; Banana and bread (yeasty). Sickly and pointless.

nqualls (1452) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - JUL 6, 2009

Source:500 mL bottle purchased while in Dublin.
Glass:Pint glass.
Appearance:Clear orange/gold pour with a one finger white head that quickly dissipated.
Aroma:Hint of banana, but mainly grassy hops and grain.
Flavor:Heavy banana and grain.
Palate:Medium body with solid carbonation.
Overall:Interesting...didn’t like it very much, but a well made beer nonetheless.

Boystout (1000) - Chisinau, MOLDOVA - JUL 6, 2009
Bottle 568 ml. Clean banana aroma, palate built of bananas and hops having nothing in between. Unusual but not too exciting.

screwball (1099) - Motala, SWEDEN - JUN 29, 2009
Bottle from Systembolaget, Sweden. Amber-yellow body. Clear. Head is white. This brew is to thin for beein´an Strong Ale. The banana is dominant in both aroma and flavor. I like the banana esters in wheatbeer but not in this one!

badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - JUN 28, 2009
Tasted at the San Diego International Beer Festival. Clear light orange with a creamy white head. Strong banana aroma and taste with mild spice.

crzybob77 (530) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - JUN 17, 2009
I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this beer. I randomly got it for a beer tasting as a bit of a gimmick, but I was intrigued by the unique banana bread taste. The name of the beer is spot on. It really tastes just like my mom’s banana bread.

Stefano (2007) - Thisted, DENMARK - JUN 15, 2009
UPDATED: JUL 21, 2009 Pours a clear amber with a small white head. Aroma is roasted and sweet banana. Tste is very sweet, with caramel malt, some banana, and spice.
