This dark golden coloured ale hugs the palate with great intensity. Its malty aroma is complemented by the gentle nose of Banana. Its flavour unfolds with a sensual sparkle and a smart crispness, which balances its aroma perfectly. Tropically fruity; its ripe banana flavour, emphasised by a hint of bitterness, comes from the addition of real fair trade bananas and finishes with an emphatic, steely dryness.

Dark amber color with a thick offwhite head. Sweet aroma with a light maltiness and banana candy. Fresh flavor of malt and... yes, banana. Finishing with a hint of bitterness to balance the sweetness.

Nice big head with heavily carbonated bubbles. Settles failry fast. Amber body thatís sort of on the orange side. Lots of carbonation in the body too. Aroma of well ripened bananas. Banana flavor is pretty good in the beer, but itís not overly sweet as they have plenty of hops in there which leaves a large amount of bitterness on the palate. Perhaps even a bit too much bitterness.Interestingly, my mouth has a "pasty" aftertaste which reminds me of the pasty aftertaste I have after Iíve eaten a banana. Definately unique and should be tried if only just to try it! Is my rating too high? Iím giving it a high flavor rating because of its uniqueness and the fact it isnít nasty unique, if that makes sense.

I will skip the pour and aroma as they were both void of qualities to write about. I closed my eyes, took a nice sip and tried to think of the flavors that came through. All I can think of is that this must be exactly what a Gorillaís piss must taste like. It was thin, bubbly, and had a very faint hint of banana peels. I was expecting a full bodied, thick and rich flavored ale with distinct banana and spice flavors. What I got the equivalent to fermented drain water at the local farmerís market.

pours a dark golden color with a thin white head. Heavy banana aroma as soon as you pop the cap. Overwhelming banana taste too however I liked the beer. It has a low drinkability rating because Iím not a monkey and canít take that much banana

500 ml bottle from Systembolaget. Brilliant copper colored. Low offwhite head quickly reduced to a filmy layer of foam. Predominant banana aroma, very inviting, fresh and natural. Some biscuity malts in the background. Banana-flavored as well, ripe and sweet, backed by a dry malt body. Mouthfeel is yet quite crisp and clean. Finishes fruity, tropical and banana, with a faint bitterness and a surprising freshness. I must adimit, I had low expectations for this one. Turned out to be a pleasant surprise.

bottle... liquid banana bread, rich sweet and jammed packed with banana flavor... would be superb with any banana dessert. highly recommend to try with a dessert, but not something you can drink a lot of.

Thought this one might surprise me, but nope. It pours a clear orange color with no head. Aroma is more of a banana jolly rancher, than it is a true banana bread. The aroma is very strong and almost gives you a false hope. Then you are hit with a flavorless, yet metallic taste, followed by a bad banana candy aftertaste. I saw nothing that worked well with this beer. End result was a beer that I certainly did not want to drink.

Wow...not good. I thought this might a fun beer, but it ended up tasting medicinal and artificial. The banana smell and taste is totally fake, like banana candy or banana flavored syrup. And thatís what the beer feels like in your mouth -- syrupy. It just tastes wrong, like a light lager with banana syrup infused in it. Eww. I need to go brush my teeth now.

(bottle). Pours a copper color. Medium size off white head. Banana aroma. Banana flavor with light yeast and light alcohol. Smooth finish, with lasting banana taste. Moderate carbonation.

Pours a crystal clear, golden-copper colored body with a small, fleeting head of off-white foam. Sticky, thin sheets of lacing break apart and drip down the glass. The aroma definitely shows a strong banana ester presence up front, followed by underlying pale and caramel malts. Bready yeast notes contribute to the beerís namesake. The flavor follows suit pretty well, but seems mostly artificial. Banana candy, light caramel, and bread dough all make their presence felt. Lightly peppery floral hops come through on the finish. The palate is a little light in body and perhaps a shade overly carbonated, but the semi-dry finish lends a refreshing, drinkable feel. Overall, itís an interesting novelty, but not much beyond that.
