Big 568ml bottle. Large amount of ripe bananas in the nose followed by a sweet walnut flavor. How bizarre. Deep golden orange color. Frothy white head. Rich crystal malt character. Clean crisp bitterness from the Challenger and Goldings hops. Finishes with the ripened banana flavor. Nuttiness from the malt, well balanced bitterness, and fruity banana all add up to an unique beer experience. Cheers! ogreface (1390) - Budapest, HUNGARY - MAR 31, 2008
StFun (567) - Indiana, USA - MAR 31, 2008
UPDATED: JAN 8, 2009 Big thanks to GMCC2181 for sending this my way for my girl’s BDay! This is actually her score and notes, as I was underwhelmed with everything expect the aroma. "Aroma is fresh out of the oven bana bread with walnuts. Appearance is amber color, with an active fizz. The flavor delivers precisely what it promises with a distinct banabread flavor. Aftertaste is bana nut bread and it is overall a delightful novelty beer" My gf LOVED it, me...well, not so much, but it wasn’t my damn bday, so the right person loved it in this case! Thanks again Gabe!! afireinside96 (923) - Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 30, 2008
bottle. pours a clear amber with a thin off-white head. it smells just like banana candy. a bit of banana in the flavor as well as some nuts mingled in with hop bitterness. has a very crisp feel, maybe it is a bit too cold. finishes dry. not the best beer I have ever had but what more do you want from a beer that claims to be brewed with bananas. hopson (635) - Williamsville, New York, USA - MAR 26, 2008
bottle- like a homebrew experiment gone somewhat wrong, but still resulting in a drinkable beer. Just way too many unfermentables in there. And I got the banana a bit, but where’s the bread. This thing is really thin as well. Disappointed.

Big bottle purchased in Spokane. Aroma as I pour is indeed banana bread. Closer to the glass it is more like raw dough or beer. Moderately lasting head on dark amber. Tropically fruity. A bit metallic. The lighter body allows room for the banana bread flavours but somehow the beer seems to demand a sturdy malt base. A lot of bitterness like too many peels and not enough bread. trokini (1025) - San Diego, California, USA - MAR 20, 2008
Pours darker gold with a frothy white head. Aroma of...banana bread. Nuts, ripe bananas, and liquor in the nose and in the taste. KInd of grainy, and the banana taste seems a little sickeningly sweet towards the end. Overall, much better than I expected. unrulythings (73) - Bend, Oregon, USA - MAR 19, 2008
pours a dark orangish red color with a decent sized head. aroma is sweet - definitely banana-ish with malty characteristics. flavor is surprisingly not too overwhelming with banana flavor. tastes like a banana liquor. not bad, though I’d been eyeing this over and over at the beer store, intrigued by it, though I probably won’t buy it again. travita (5006) - Dallas, Texas, USA - MAR 19, 2008
Clear light amber with an ok head. Smells of banana bread, however scent is slightly strong and artificial. Taste is dry and nutty with banana flavors present.

Another fine selection from 99 Bottles in Federal Way. Pours gold with a quickly vanishing head. Banana is apparent at the first sniff, then blends to a light fruit scent. Strong banana flavor, with a balanced malt. Hop finish is a welcome contrast to the sweet flavor. The medium palate works well for this beer, as a thicker one might overwhelm the tongue. If you’re looking for a beer to go with a fruit dish, this might not be too bad of a choice. But I’ll have to try that combination to be sure.
