COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottled, Pasteurised.
This dark golden coloured ale hugs the palate with great intensity. Its malty aroma is complemented by the gentle nose of Banana. Its flavour unfolds with a sensual sparkle and a smart crispness, which balances its aroma perfectly. Tropically fruity; its ripe banana flavour, emphasised by a hint of bitterness, comes from the addition of real fair trade bananas and finishes with an emphatic, steely dryness.

This one appears dark yellow/light brown with a short lasting head. The banana aroma is there for sure, with the malt kind of hidden at first. The distinct resiny hops make a dramatic appearance at the end of the swallow. This is a beer you may only drink on occasion to avoid being overwhelmed by banana.

Pours clear amber with small tan head out of bottle. Aroma of bread, wheat, and slight hint of banana. Flavor identical to banana bread with a finish of beer. Not a bad beer but I usually don't like to drink my banana bread. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Fascinating the first couple of sips. Aftar that the banana, banana and more banana get a bit overwhelming. It says in the commercial description that is the beer has a gentle nose of banana. Well, not as gentle as a monster truck show. but close. Glad I had it though, now I can go on with my life.

16.9fl.oz / 500ml bottle into a shaker. Served cool. Aroma: Bananas! Really nice banana smell. Backed up by a sour yeast and some malt. Appearance: Clear amber with a dissipating, light and foamy white head. Taste: The banana is more subdued in the taste than it is in the aroma. It is balanced quite nicely with a nice mild maltiness. Palate: Medium body. Pretty short, dry and malty finish. Kind of watery maybe. Overall: A pretty fun beer! It is what its advertised as. I want to make chocolate chip banana bread using this beer and see how fantastic it turns out.

Pours with a small thin head that disappears quickly. Smells like a lot of ripe bananas! I love the smell. Taste like caramilized sugar, bananas and spice, this quick fades and leave you with a weak weird after taste. I really enjoyed trying this bear, but would not enjoy it often.

Banana oil aroma. Light mahogany, medium white head. Flavour is rather hoppy, with a slight banana tang. Somewhat watery and overcarbonated. Bitter banana finish. Not a happy marriage of flavours here.

16.9 oz. bottle from Sams, $1.99. Pours a medium clear copper with a fluffy white head. Leaves pretty decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is mostly caramelized banana, a touch of that fake candied banana, but not overly artificial. Flavor is moderately sweet malt notes with moderate banana flavor. It actually does taste quite a bit like banana bread. Finish is mildly bittered and clean, with a soft aftertaste of ripe banana. Medium body, fairly crisp carbonation. Strange beer, but pretty tasty and definitely worth a try.

A: Pours a crystal clear pinkish color almost more like an apple juice color. Rapidly dissipating head. S: There is definitely banana present in the nose, that is quite certain. There also seems to be some spicy notes? T: Flat with a lot of umami here. Tanic aftertaste. There a little bit of spices (nutmeg?). M: Light on the tongue, medium amount of carbonation, suits the rest of the beer quite well. D: Definitely drinkable. Strangely refreshing. Not bad for a gimmick beer. Serving type: bottle

500ml bottle from LCBO. Toronto, Ontario. Pours a clear amber colour with a little ring-like head. It has a skunky aroma mixed with banana, candy and notes of vanilla. It has an obvious banana bread taste which dries up nicely with some light hops.
