Bottled, Pasteurised.
This dark golden coloured ale hugs the palate with great intensity. Its malty aroma is complemented by the gentle nose of Banana. Its flavour unfolds with a sensual sparkle and a smart crispness, which balances its aroma perfectly. Tropically fruity; its ripe banana flavour, emphasised by a hint of bitterness, comes from the addition of real fair trade bananas and finishes with an emphatic, steely dryness.

Pours a clear orange with about a finger of stark white head. Yeast and banana notes, which is hardly surprising. There’s a strong sweet banana taste to start, that fades away and is replaced by a subtle hoppy bitterness that fills it out. It’s interesting, and better than I thought.

wonderful aroma of bananas followed by some yeast - thin/light brown pour - flavors of banana and bread dough followed by a lingering sweet banana/malt and then later by alcohol

Bottle. Aroma is bready and malty with a hint of banana. The flavour of the banana comes through in the taste together with a touch of bitterness. I kinda think I shouldn’t like this but I do.

1 Pt 0.9 oz bottle. Pours dark gold with a small white head. It has a wonderful banana bread aroma. It has a spicy taste and a definite banana taste along with a nice bread like malt taste and a nice vanilla and banana aftertaste. I enjoyed this very creative beer.

Caramel toffee colour. Blooming thick solid head and lots of tiny bubbly carbonation. Smells of...you guessed it, bananas. Taste was less banana and more spicy and bitter than what I was expecting. There was a fairly strong hop presence that seemed in conflict with some of the banana’s sweeter aspects and the flavours dived into rotten banana peel teritorry as it warmed up. Interesting to try once, but hard to imagine reaching for this consecutevely.

From NOTES. A: Malty sweetness, bananas, a slight nuttiness and not much hop character to speak of or maybe just a slight peppery spiciness from the hops. A: Pours and dark amber with 1 finger of white head that dissipates too quick. T: Cloying banana flavor, like banana candy. Some astringency on the finish. P: Thin consistency, almost watery. Highly carbonated. Crisp finish. O: Overall, a disappointment, even though my expectations were not particularly high. I like banana bread a lot, but I think I will stick to the real thing.

Achat risqué mais les craintes sont vite dissipées. ça reste une bière, la banane est présente mais pas ultra dominante. ça change et c’est plutôt pas mal

Beer + banana bread joined. I mean, really, how could you not like this idea? The aroma is wonderful, the brew is one of the best novelty ideas I have encountered. I could drink this at breakfast, after dinner, on a boat, in a moat, and I actually did all of those things in and around Oxford.
