Banana bread in a bottle. Floral banana notes in both aroma and taste, supported by a bed of bready malts. Notes of brown sugar and buttery nuttiness linger at the sides, creating an overall profile of fresh-buttered banana bread with an added sprinkling of brown sugar for good measure.
Nothing overpowers, and every note works hand in hand with each other in both aroma and taste. Mouthfeel begins crisp at the tip of the tongue, but mellows in a rich smoothness by the end of the taste.

UPDATED: NOV 10, 2013 Quite aromatic of ripe banana. Pours a dark clear brown with little head. Not a huge fan of sweeter beers so I was hesitant with this one. If you love banana bread this is for you. I can drink these endlessly and love the fact that the banana flavor sticks well after the last sip...wonderful authentically flavoured palate. One of my top recommendations for people looking for a different kind of beer, something to step away from their comfort zone...I?m a wheat beer guy. Biggar2000 (20) - - JAN 2, 2014
I really liked this beer. I mainly drink light beer like Coors Light, etc. This beer I would definitely buy again, & recommend to others. Austin_Ripper (66) - Iowa, USA - JUN 17, 2015
A very good desert beer, would not recommend drinking more than one because of the sweetness, absolutely work a try. nickleslic (1) - chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 9, 2008 does not count

This has a big banana nose! It is not so strong on the palate but the rest of the beer comes through!!!!!! obguthr (6304) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - SEP 5, 2009
Immense banana aroma with doughy undertones. Immaculately clear dark golden, thin white head, some lacing. Tastes just like banana bread even down to the walnut finish. I’m not sure I’ve ever had a beer as well conceived. I absolutely must try the cask version. Good balance and well crafted. Were the banana esters a function of hefe yeast instead of additives, I would absolutely give this a 5.0. Since it wasn’t, I still gladly offer my 4.4 to improve its standing. scarpin (50) - BRAZIL - OCT 25, 2014
Wonderful aroma. Nice banana aroma and taste. A high level of sugar in paladar. Overall is very very different and good. ursa93 (3) - SLOVENIA - NOV 10, 2015 does not count
caramel, bread, citrus, banana, hazy, orange, rocky head, heavy cloying sweetness, lightly bitter, fizzy, long finish, creamy, Drinking_77 (116) - Basel, SWITZERLAND - JUN 1, 2016
On pour got a very fizzy drink, a lot of carbonation. When it settled down a decent sized frothy head appeared, looked decent. Head looks good, nice and creamy looking.
Head does die a little and there is some slight lacing.
The colour was dark amber, with a tint of red, and overall the beer looks the part…..
The aroma is of…..well, bananas!
Lovely clear, fruity smell, gorgeous, and I dont even like bananas, ha ha! Strong but not overpowering, very pleasant and very tempting.
Smells of banana bread, with a hint of toffee……
Taste: Well it does exactly what it says on the tin, its all banana
A beer with banana, tastes like beer with banana! But its lovely, very smooth, doesn’t taste a lot like beer at all. Very sweet, but still smooth enough to drink. A bit of caramel noted as well.
At first I thought the alcohol content of 5.2% wasn’t apparent, but I think it does kick in near the end.
Everyone in the house had a try, went down a storm, all liked it.
There is a slight hoppy aftertaste that is a bit urgh, and it could do with more body, but overall very smooth. It is different, so hats off to the brewers for trying something new, refreshing and all good. I am not sure you could down a lot of these in a session, but definitely would be great to sip on a hot day. Recommended, and looking forward to trying this beer out again soon.
