This beer reminds me of a cigar. It smells great from a distance, but the taste isn't the same thing. Still, I enjoy it, and if faced with the choice between this and a bottle of bud, I'd go with the banana bread beer every time.

You can smell the banana before the glass hits your lips but it does taste slightly water down and not as full body as a quality craft beer

Cask during a Wetherspoon Beer Festival in 2011. My notes from the time say that you can certainly taste the banana! allmyvinyl (10929) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - NOV 19, 2014
Memory banks rate after having the godawful bottled version. Cask was a darker brown, nice foamy white head. Smooth, and had the bready qualities and full body the bottle version lacks. Wouldn’t drink it all night, but not a bad beer. miquelcrush (2053) - Granollers, SPAIN - JUL 2, 2014
Bona cervesa, bastant equilibrada i gustosa, es nota molt el plàtan.
Buena cerveza, bastante equilibrada y sabrosa, se nota mucho el plátano.

On draft. Cooper color with one finger head. Smells just like banana bread. Slightly boozy smell too. Taste isn’t as strong as the aroma. Not a bad beer. Not as sweet as I was expecting. agl108 (1289) - Upper St. Clair, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 1, 2013
On draft at Sharp Edge Brasserie. Poured dark gold with thin head. Bready, wheaty, with substantial banana esters present. Medium bodied. Decent stuff. shhmoke (32) - North Carolina, USA - FEB 19, 2013
Not a bad beer, however could be stronger and definitely thicker to complete the flavors. gws57 (1276) - Saint Charles, Illinois, USA - DEC 7, 2012
Had this one on draught at the House Pub, St. Charles, Illinois. Beautiful ruby pour with a thick tan head, slightly spicy and vaguely sweet, the banana really comes through in the finish. Emmencely drinkable! brian60625 (746) - Illinois, USA - NOV 14, 2012
10 ounce tap glass at Will’s Northwoods in Chicago. Take everything they write in the brewer’s description and prepare to drink the opposite. This beer reminded me of a cold pour of campbells soup with the taste of soggy bananas. Flat palate, foggy yellow, spoiled fruit taste. Unenjoyable.
