ABV on this bottle says 5.2, not 4.7%. Smells of pale and crystal malt, bit of mineral and hops too. Very well balanced.

Bottle at home while watching the Singapore Grand Prix. It poured well and although there wasn't much aroma it looked good in the tankard. The taste was that of a good bitter. There was biscuit malt, bitter hops and a nice mouthfeel. It's a classy bitter and it was a pleasure to drink.

Ambergeel, crèmekleurige foamy schuimkraag, iets wazig , weinig koolzuur. Aroma: Karamel, bloemig, moutig/brood/biscuit.

Copper colored, small beige head. Aromas of bread, malt and dark fruits. Medium bitter taste with bread, fruit, caramel and slight hops. Bitter finish.

Blind tasting with Dr Beer. I really seem to start to like English bitters. Not as bitter as expected, but that seems to be the rule for ESB’s to me. i enjoyed it.

Bottle. Slightly overcarbonated in mouth. Light malty raisiny smell. Full bodied with raisin and tangy finish and aftertaste. Tasty one

500 mL bottle shared by ebone1988. The pour is a decently amber brown color with a thinner tan colored head and a little lace. There is a clarity about this one that I’m not too sure on. The aroma is full of metallic. It’s got a sweet maltiness and a heavy grain. I’m not feeling it. The metallic really just overpowers. The light earthiness helps, but it’s not enough. The flavor is much of the same. It’s got a bitter metallic grain and malt. There is a hint of hop, but the bitterness stands true, I suppose. The mouth feel is lighter with a light and soft carbonation and a lingering bitter caramel metallic thing happening on the back end. It’s just not doing it for me. 6 3 6 3 12

Bottle from Merchants. Bottle shared with koleminer20, for the book. Feeling English today. Aroma is metallic, caramel malt, corn, earthy hops, dry, incredibly English. Appearance is brownish amber, light tan head, clear. Taste is bitter, caramel malt, metallic, earthy hops, malty, decent. Mouthfeel is medium body, light carbonation, bitter caramel earthy aftertaste. Overall, I’ve had better but it’s pretty good.
