This pours a dark, murky brown color with a thick, foamy head. The aroma is full of banana and yeast. The taste is sweet, bready with a lingering tasting of some bread and spices. Smooth and easy drinking with a malty finish. obguthr (6740) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - OCT 3, 2014
Banana, slight vinegar edge, zweiback nose. Cloudy brown, thick tan head, good lacing. Tastes as it smells, but less acetic. Slightly tangy, but mainly bready. Light body. This is my kind of a session beer. Icedwarf (1848) - Etten-Leur, NETHERLANDS - SEP 6, 2014
Cousin_Larry (895) - - JUN 5, 2014
When I buy a dunkel I expect some flavor, and the strongest taste in this one is water. Nice coffee Aftertaste though. Splitenz (370) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUN 1, 2014
Poured from bottle, quite dark brown. Aroma, a bit of fruit (koriander?) and bread. Taste is malty sweet, a bit too much so for me, as the body is quite thin. A good crispness from the hops saves it at the end however. A fine beer for its type.

Sweet malty flavor mixed with a hint of banana bread (yeast included). Smooth with a lingering flavor, mild and a bit different. njnut (486) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - DEC 30, 2013
Poured into stein from 1 pint 0.9 oz bottle. Pours a slightly cloudy deep brown. Aroma is of ripe banana. Large white head, long lasting with plenty of lace. Mouth feel was oily. Taste was of malted wheat, toasted bread. Nutty aftertaste. Different, nice.
