Pours a hazy orange-brown with a large and lasting head. I note with dismay what appears to be a date of 10.01.02. Hmmm, a bit old for a regular old dunkleweizen... No noticeable off flavors though, but a bit subdued. Subtle weizeny aromas- a bit of clove, etc. The flavor is the same, rich, full, if perhaps on the mild side for me. Recomended.

Drank from a sampler glass, from a bottle shared among friends. Pours nice dark hazy brown color, with a bit of head. Nice aromas you would expect from a dunkel Weizen. Had a bit of a tart finish it too it that was off putting.

Bottle. Very smooth banana aroma, banana creme pie, cookies, some yeast, and light sourish zestiness.Cloudy brown color, fat-bubbled white head, very thick lace. Moderate wheaty initial, some roastiness, a bit of tangy citrus note, and amild lightly fruity finish. Medium body, quite soft on the tongue. Really wonderful nose. Flavors are not as complex.

500ml bottle at Kloster Mehrerau, Bregenz. Aroma is malt, light coffee. Appearance is cloudy brown with a small white foam. Taste is light sweet, light bitter. A medium carbonation. Untypical. Ok.
