2014 Advent Calendar #8, 330ml, best before 17-06-2015. Pours clear deep gold with one finger of loose white head diminishing gradually to a thick cap, moderate lacing. (4/5) Nose is grainy pale malt, grassy hops, faint fruit and smoke. (7/10) Taste is moderate sweet, moderate bitter, mild peppery spice. (7/10) Medium body, moderate carbonation, lingering and building bitter and spicy finish. (4/5) Pleasant enough märzen even if the season for them is a little past us. Not too sweet, with a decent little peppery spice in the finish. (14/20)

330ml bottle which starts week 2 of the Craft Beer Advent Calendar pours a pale amber color with a finger of white head that leaves some spotted lacing on the glass. Aroma is grassy and grainy with hints of light fruits. Taste is a grassy and light citrus bitterness with a grainy malt and light fruit sweetness. Finishes clean with a light body and nice carbonation. As far as lagers go, this one is quite decent.

Bottle. Golden with a nice finger of white head. Aroma is grains, light smoke, and cereal. Taste is light sweetness, grains, with crisp clean finish. Nothing earth shattering here but this is a well made, crisp, clean, lager. Perfect for a Tuesday.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines and drunk at home. Clear golden brown colour lasting thick white head. Malty lager. Some spicy hop on aroma and the finish. Clean, no faults. Decent malty Vienna.

Edição de aniversário da mais antiga cervejaria/mosteiro do mundo. Uma mistura especial do malte e lúpulo entrega um sabor único e uma linda cor amarelo-dourado brilhante. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Based on the other reviews, I’m starting to think this may have gone bad... But this was brutal. Corn and sweat notes dominate. Some malty caramel notes, oktoberfest flavours, but mostly undrinkable. Yuck.
