UPDATED: JAN 24, 2013 Palack, Srspecialista, Bp., Hu Tejsznszerűen sűrű, de gyorsan illan hab, első kortyra visszafogott dessg, m mgtte mr ott lapul a koml. Szorosan sszetapad pros ez, lass zenre lejtenek, nem lehetne lekrni egyikeket sem. De tl tkletes ez harmnia, egyvalami mintha hinyoznk... Taln ppen a karakter? * Bottled, Srspecialista, Budapest, Hungary. This beer is characterized by a thick and creamy, but quickly decomposing head of foam. At first taste it is moderately sweet, but the taste of hops is already lurking behind the sweetness. Bitter and sweet stick together inextricably, dancing a slow dance together and none could do without the other. But though the harmony is almost unbearably perfect, something seems to be missing perhaps its the unique character?

Nice golden vienna with a medium head. Smell and taste of cereals with some floral hops in the finish and a bit sweetness. Creamy palate. quite a good one.

Bottle. Dark golden, a bit cloudy, with a frothy and durable head. Aroma is mainly malty, a bit citrusy, with some hops in the background. Taste is malty-sweetish and low on bitterness. Too one-dimensional and unbalanced.

Pours a clear pale golden orange color with golden yellow edges and a 2.5 finger frothy, pillowy off-white head that very slowly settles into a lasting cap/ring. Large chunks of soapy lacing left behind. Floral, slightly earthy aroma with grassy hops countered by a sweet malt presence. Hints of grass and straw countered by sweet caramel malt as well as some biscuit and toffee in the nose. Faint light fruit. Medium bodied with a crisp hop bite up front that gives off a dry, slightly bitter flavor that is nicely balanced by the earthy and sweet malt notes. Slight floral, pine flavor countered by slightly toasted malt, sweet caramel and toffee. Subtle peppery spice in the finish. Overall this beer isnt terribly complex but its very nicely balanced and pretty flavorful. The best beer Ive had so far from Weltenburg.

I thought it was a tasty lager. The smell was actually the best component, floral with some nice fruitiness.

inbirraveritas (1541) - Budapest, HUNGARY - JUN 15, 2011
0.5 l bottle from Srspecialista, Bp. Clear amber pour with a nice rocky and laceing, white head. Lively carbonated brew with small bubbles and a sweet-sourish smell. Slick mouthfeel with a sweetish aroma of caramel, toast and grass, the medium dry and bitter finish brings citrus, herbs and again toast along, which leaves a sweet-toasty aftertaste behind. Nice one.

Koelschtrinker (18341) - Kln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 3, 2011
