Copper golden pour. Nose and taste of grains, yeast, hay, flowers and brown sugar. Rated 6/11/04 bacchanalia (146) - milton, Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - APR 14, 2010
It’s a fairly solid lager, just on the edge of being metallic & thin but just about avoiding this to end up with a pleasant lager. The finish pulls it round, a nice slightly biscuity weighty flavour that transforms this from disappointing to, an acceptable little lager judasbeer (431) - Budapest, HUNGARY - FEB 22, 2010
Appearance: Coppery gold to clear orange in color. Medium - sized, pillowy, fluffy white head on it.

Aroma: Pure, grainy malts, yeasty sourness, some papery notes. Not enough toasty, almost reminescent of a pale lager.
Flavor: Freshly mown hay, brown sugar, and toffee-like sweetness of sugary malts. Intense, acidic character of the yeast at the middle. Soft, grassy hop balanced with some toasted malty sweetness at the finish.
Mouthfeel/Palate: Light bodied, easy beer. Thin, watery texture with soft carbonation.
Overall Impression: Sweet grainy beer with definite sour yeasty character. The cardboardy off-flavor presence is out of my toleration level. This one is the less impressive from Weltenburg to me, so far.
Bottle. golden colour with an off-white head. Aroma is fruit, malt, grain. Flavour is fruit, malt, grain, hop. apple. Medium body. Ordinary beer. rosenbergh (11610) - Tampere, FINLAND - JAN 6, 2010

Clear deep golden colour with small to average off-white head.
Slightly roasted malt and nuts in aroma.
Dry hops, grainy malt, some nuts and lots of metal in flavour.
Metallic flavour is quite disturbing.
This is a very refreshing beer and I could easily drink it all night. The flavor is clean grain with an excellent bite in the finish. The beer is a nice looking - clear golden amber liquid with a healthy white head of foam. There are sweet caramel and sour lemon notes. All around very nice for the style. lithilorn (288) - Covilhã, PORTUGAL - JAN 2, 2010
Gold body and white head. Sweet aroma of malt, grass, corn and some biscuit. Sweet flavor of malt and grain. A good beer to drink, refreshing and enjoyable. ogivlado (7856) - Zagreb, CROATIA - NOV 24, 2009

Darker golden coloured, medium sized white head that went away slowly, honeyish grainy nose with touch of cardboard. The taste is almost the same- malty, honeyish grainy and cardboardy with touch of caramel hops in the finish. Like Asam Bock expected better beer.

Dark golden body (how on earth is this a Vienna??), medium-big thick white head. Fine grainy, distinctly honeyish maltiness in the nose. A fine sweetish lager, fruity malty notes (light cardboard too?), honey again, ending with a light herbal hopiness that lends a light bitterness. Balanced and nice.
bottle - Pours copper with suspended yeast flakes. The aroma is of caramel malt with a touch of fruit. The flavor features crisp, mild hops with lightly toasted caramel and grain malt. It’s well balanced and very drinkable, another good German session brew. Underrated, IMO.
