Talán éppen a karakter?
Bottled, Sörspecialista, Budapest, Hungary.
This beer is characterized by a thick and creamy, but quickly decomposing head of foam. At first taste it is moderately sweet, but the taste of hops is already lurking behind the sweetness. Bitter and sweet stick together inextricably, dancing a slow dance together and none could do without the other. But though the harmony is almost unbearably perfect, something seems to be missing – perhaps it’s the unique character?
appearance: clear light amber, good white head. aroma: caramel malts, some cereal, grass. taste: toasted brown bread, honeyed cereal, grass and hay. finish: lingering toasty, grassy notes; medium palate, good carb and easy drinking. notes: Extremely nice lager. Would drink again. Bottle from Kevin at work.

UPDATED: MAY 8, 2017 Vom flasche. Orangey clear with a little head. Aroma is vaguely malty similar to a marzen. Nice full malty character with a tinge of metal. Finish has just a bit of bitterness. I remember at the abbey reading that this is a marzen, but ir?s labelled Vienna lager here. Taste, aroma and of the darker variety all point to marzen instead. Drinkable, but not their best. nickd717 (4644) - San Francisco, California, USA - APR 18, 2017
Draft at Gourmet Haus Staudt. Clear bright golden copper with a small white head. Aroma is caramel, sugar, bread. Flavor somewhat sweet, not too complex but nice. Medium body, pretty drinkable. Good for the style.

330 ml brown bottle into a Creature Comforts glass.
Smooth, medium-full body with lively carbonation.
Aroma: Spicy and earthy hops with caramel and baked bread.
Flavor: follows the aroma, but stronger than the aroma suggests. Excellent balance. Lightly sweet up front and mildly bitter in the finish.
Overall: excellent for style. PilsnerDoctor32 (245) - madrid, SPAIN - FEB 8, 2017
