Straight from bottle. Taste is grainy and starchy, with grass and fresh wood, dough, earth. Carbonated, oily texture, dull finish with noticeable alcohol. Mmmh, didn't like much.

330ml bottle at home. Pours clear light amber with a persistent, creamy white head. Cereal, malt, yeast nose. Flavors are wheat, bread dough, lightly roasted malt. Moderate carb and a pleasant wheat finish. Nice.

Brilliant orange with a creamy white head. Creamy medium body with moderate carbonation.

Aroma: doughy pils malt, sweet bready munich malt, chalky minerality, grassy hops.

Taste: bready malt, soft floral and herbal hops, toffee and fruit notes.

Cristobal37 (1176) - Budapest, HUNGARY - MAY 8, 2017
UPDATED: MAY 8, 2017 Vom flasche. Orangey clear with a little head. Aroma is vaguely malty similar to a marzen. Nice full malty character with a tinge of metal. Finish has just a bit of bitterness. I remember at the abbey reading that this is a marzen, but ir?s labelled Vienna lager here. Taste, aroma and of the darker variety all point to marzen instead. Drinkable, but not their best.

Draft at Gourmet Haus Staudt. Clear bright golden copper with a small white head. Aroma is caramel, sugar, bread. Flavor somewhat sweet, not too complex but nice. Medium body, pretty drinkable. Good for the style.
