UPDATED: SEP 18, 2011 (Bottled) Nice straight forward beer for swillin’, and not having to ponder the mysteries of this stuff . This beerz nuances are easy going but very decent . Lots of caramel and buttery texture and I could sink loads of this in conclusion ; nice dry finish. fugitive (1996) - Athens, GREECE - MAR 22, 2013

Weltenburger Kloster Anno 1050 has a very thick, frothy, creamy, off-white head, a mostly clear, amber-gold, bubbly appearance, and heavy lacing left on the glass. The aroma is of sweet, rich, somewhat sour, barley malt, and the taste is of the same, with sweet, white bread, mild hop bitterness, and a shadow of metallic. Mouthfeel is medium, and Weltenburger Kloster Anno 1050 finishes fairly crisp and highly drinkable. RJT UXO (1896) - CANADA - DEC 8, 2014

Pleasant enough märzen even if the season for them is a little past us. Not too sweet, with a decent little peppery spice in the finish. (14/20) Andrew196 (1864) - Katy, Texas, USA - JUN 16, 2016
Looks nice, hazy marmalade in color. Frothy eggshell head. Stale malt aroma, celery. Better on the tongue, smooth, wheaty, some caramel. SDbruboy (1864) - San Diego, California, USA - OCT 7, 2004
Bottle. Pours a hazy peach-amber color with a large sudsy off-white head. Aroma is fruity malts, hints of apricot, and citrus hops. Flavor is also very sweet and yeasty with a tart hoppiness and biting finish that ended up tasting kind of metallic and unpleasant as it warmed. Medium body and little to no carbonation. Clear golden pour with a tan head. Aroma of malt, bisquits, caramel. Crisp tasting, malt leaves a nice flavor in your mouth, little sweetness, caramel. Little lacing.
