[email protected], Copenhagen - Dark brown pour with a small beige head. Sweet and toasted bready malty with notes of caramel and fudge, medium body, notes of dried fruit, sweet malty close.

Inderdaad een erg lekkere dubbelbok. Zachte, volle warme smaak met een goed mondgevoel.

Pohodové německé pivo stylu, který jsem již několikrát měl. I nyní povedené pivo s klasickými rysy tohoto stylu. Barva hnědá, říz jemný, tělo plné a bohatá pěna.

Dark rich malty flavor and more sugar and dark fruit than I care for. Not boozy. Low hop and a full mouthfeel without being oily.

Bottle. Pours dark amber with tighly packed off-white head. Good lacing on the glass. Aroma is brown sugar, toasty and roasty notes, caramel and dark fruit. Flavour follows caramel, brown sugar, dark fruit, a bit of light roastiness which plays nicely with the rest of flavours. Medium carbonation, medium body and light bitterness. Fairly dry and drinkable. Great example of the style.

IndianaRed (5285) - Boise, Idaho, USA - FEB 9, 2018
On tap at Prost!, Boise Deep dark brown. Full dense light beige head. Dark toasted bread aroma malty and some dark caramel flavors. A bit more sharp roast than other dopplebicks I’ve had. Moderate body and smooth light roast trailer. Not as big or as sweet as others also.

Kiezmar (999) - Krakow, POLAND - JAN 31, 2018
Aromat skórki od chleba, nieco karmelu i ciemnych owoców. Smak chlebowy, lekko ziołowy, z przyprawowym aftertaste. Dość treściwe, pełne. Solidna pozycja.

This is as good as it gets. Dark Bavarian Malt is out if this world. This Bier is on tap at Edelweiss German restaurant in CO Springs. I’ve had Ayinger Celebrator Doppelbock on tap in the US a few times. This is very similar. Never thought I’d find one as good. I think I have!

50cl bottle pours a clear dark brown with small tan head and leaves some lacing. Aroma has bready malts, dark fruits, and brown sugar. Taste is sweet (but not as sweet as many doppelbocks) with a roasty finish. Body is medium to full. Warms the palette without being boozy. An excellent doppelbock.
