It poured a clear dark golden liquid with a very small foam. It had a weak smell of white bread. The taste was also weak and had some white bread. It wasn’t very smooth and had a stingy bitterness to it. Overall boring and not very good. OleR (4849) - Oslo, NORWAY - SEP 12, 2009
0.5 L bottle from Systembolaget, Charlottenberg. Big bluffy offwhite head. Deep gold colored body with brilliant clarity. Aroma of freshly baked bread. Some doughy malts, faint caramel and a pleasant whiff of grassy hops. Taste is malty, well rounded and soft. A light sweetness, some caramel and fruit tones, and fine, slight peppery bitterness to balance. Healthy body. Smooth. Rounded malty finish, evenly balanced with a gentle hop bitterness. A flawless festbier! Marsiblursi (3083) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - SEP 5, 2009
UPDATED: SEP 6, 2009 (Bottle) Pours clear medium amber with foamy white head. The aroma holds tones of grainy cookies, fresh “sweaty” wood and buttery toffee up front. Undertones of dark bread, spices and ripe red apples. Hints of dough. Subtle hops lurking in the background. Maybe a touch of citrus. The flavour is light to medium sweet, light to medium bitter and light acidic with clear notes of toffee and cookies. Hints of spices, dark bread and flowers. The mouthfeel is clean, chewy and round with a medium carbonation. Hints of citrus and wood in the finish. Medium bodied. The loveable malt profile + the fresh acidic note makes this beer a perfect treat. Miksu (5052) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - FEB 21, 2009
0.5 l bottle from Systembolaget. Golden to copper color with creamy head. Malty, honeyish and toffeish aroma. The flavor is very much the same. Good fresh maltiness, that’s all. DonMagi (5593) - bantervile, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - FEB 15, 2009
Bottle at one of chris o’s tastings. Alround rating: Decent biscuity malts, peppery herbal hop, balanced and tasty.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow to orange with a diminshed white head. Aroma is mild citric and towards cornish. Light breadish and cornish with a light bitterness and lingering malty finish. Smooth and easy but a bit simple too. larsga (7657) - Oslo, NORWAY - NOV 29, 2008
Big offwhite lasting head. Coppery body. Earthy pea aroma with oily notes. Dry-sweetish taste of straw, earth, peas, and grain with oily grassy notes. Very harmonic. Smooth, faintly oily mouthfeel. Fullish body. Clean palate. Dry grassy strawy earthy aftertaste. Extremely drinkable, yet interesting and full of flavour. Very nice. (0.5l bottle, Systembolaget, Charlottenberg.) Bottle, 5.3%. Weak malty aroma. Clear dark golden colour. Small stable white head. The flavour is OK malty, low bitterness. Hint of cardboard. Not bad, but quite boring. Maverick34 (3305) - New York, USA - OCT 4, 2008
Draft. Amber minor head, a lot of sweets and malts. Nothing super-special but a decent Marzen. Gr0ve (2176) - Oslo, NORWAY - SEP 30, 2008
500 ml bottle. Deep golden colour. Crystal clear. Tall white fine-laced head. Crisp straw-like hop aroma. High carbonation level. Rich malty flavours, but the carbonation cuts through most of it. Feels quite strong. Surprisingly malty given the alcohol content. Quite bitter flavour and aftertaste, but it ends abruptly. Very nice Oktoberfest beer.
