UPDATED: SEP 6, 2009 (Bottle) Pours clear medium amber with foamy white head. The aroma holds tones of grainy cookies, fresh “sweaty” wood and buttery toffee up front. Undertones of dark bread, spices and ripe red apples. Hints of dough. Subtle hops lurking in the background. Maybe a touch of citrus. The flavour is light to medium sweet, light to medium bitter and light acidic with clear notes of toffee and cookies. Hints of spices, dark bread and flowers. The mouthfeel is clean, chewy and round with a medium carbonation. Hints of citrus and wood in the finish. Medium bodied. The loveable malt profile + the fresh acidic note makes this beer a perfect treat. omhper (25243) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - SEP 27, 2002
Amber colour. Loads of chewy malt. Balanced malt sweetness, some fruitiness. Bitter finish. Drinkable, well balanced and satisfying. A very good example of the style. madsberg (11773) - Søborg, DENMARK - OCT 23, 2003
Bottled: Golden coloured. Clear. White lasting head. Malt and some sweetness in the aroma. The flavour is full, sweet and malty. Has a delicious hops taste to it. Light caramel is present. Ends up with a great bitterness. One of the best Octoberfest I've tried yet. DrBeer (862) - Solna Stockholm, SWEDEN - AUG 15, 2005

0.5 L bottle from Systembolaget, Charlottenberg. Big bluffy offwhite head. Deep gold colored body with brilliant clarity. Aroma of freshly baked bread. Some doughy malts, faint caramel and a pleasant whiff of grassy hops. Taste is malty, well rounded and soft. A light sweetness, some caramel and fruit tones, and fine, slight peppery bitterness to balance. Healthy body. Smooth. Rounded malty finish, evenly balanced with a gentle hop bitterness. A flawless festbier! Papsoe (25062) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUN 18, 2005
(Bottle 50 cl) Beautiful dark amber golden color and a small, tight head. Incredibly delicious and full toffee flavor with a distinct hoppy bitterness. Actually resembles good English ales, but Oktober Festbier is bottom fermented naturally. A treat for the palate. 220803 larsniclas (7102) - Billdal, SWEDEN - SEP 17, 2003

(Draught at Man in the Moon, Stockholm, 18 Oct) Pale amber colour with firm, rocky, white head. Malty, spicy nose with toffee and notes of raisins. Malty, nutty taste with toffee, raisins and a leafy, almost metallic, bitterness in the finish. Very drinkable. jefcon (1878) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - SEP 5, 2008
Very nice and smooth oktoberfest. Fuller malt, woodsy flavors than most in the style. Plenty of finish and a big mouthfeel. Aromas are crisp and malty as well.
