This isnt a bad pilsener, however I probably wouldnt buy it again because it is too bitter for the amount of flavour it contains - the bitterness tends to dominate more than it should. Still a pleasent drink though. ADDED 1 December: It seems Oakes is complaining about people rating pilsner beers low due to their bitterness. I realise this is the style buht in my opinion the bitterness here is too dominant.

Very pale pour with a small noble hop aroma. One of those easy drinking summer beers that down my part of the world is not quite appropriate at the moment. This is the sort of beer that a non serious drinker would say is not a bad beer.

It was alright, a decent pilsener. There were a few flavors that I don't really remember, but that's ok, I'm over 75 characters now.

Draught at the Red Lion, Silver Lake, Los Angeles. Tasty beer - some lemon and a syruppy, insistently bittersweet taste. No head or lacing. Despite the qualities above, does have some moments of thinness, and the finish is not as tasty as the Spaten beforehand. A good enough German Pils.

Light lemon colour with a loose head. Hoppy and slightly herbal aroma. Not much in the way of a malt presence but moderate bitterness with a long finish. Average.

Light golden body under a weak white head. Aroma was yeasty, fruity, malty some sweetness, citrus notes. Medium body, watery. Flavor was crisp and clean but with little to commend it. A decent pils if one likes the style.

Aroma was skunky. A cloudy yellow body witha white foamy head. Was watery and had a medium bitter taste to it. At the finish a somewhat dried fruit aftertaste. Decent seeing it was 105 degrees today.

Bottle poured a cloudy yellow with a skunky malt aroma. Flavor is malt and corn with a hint of lemon and a bitter yeasty finish.

Dry and crisp with plenty of hop aftertaste. Doesnt work as well as other beers from this brewery.

Choos (753) - Taylors Hill, AUSTRALIA - NOV 1, 2004
Aroma: saaz with a touch of apple. Apperance: pale gold with a good head that leaves bubbly lacing. Flavour: grainy quite a bit of hops. Palate: gentle carbonation medium mouthfeel and finishes reasonably balanced sweet and bitter.
