Pale gold with a sturdy white head. Grassy aroma. Nice malty - bready flavor followed up with a medium hop-bitter finish. Good, clean and classic.
Fresh grassy and aromatic hop aroma.
Golden, microscopic bubbles, lacing white head.
The flavor has an overall field theme: Low level Hayish malt isbase for a nice grassy hop profile.
Medium body, soft mouthfeel with a bit of tickling carbonation. Dry bitterhop exit.
A quite nice pils.

Poured from a bottle, the fairly dense foam rises nicely, not overly carbonated. There is just a bit of lacing. The head dies down to about 1/2" after 2-3 minutes to almost nothing after that. Very pale yellow in color. Smells more malty than most pilsners.
Tastes more malty than most pilsners, as well. A bit of a malt / fruit / yeast aftertaste, but fairly mild. Decent beer but not ultra smooth like others in this category. 17thfloor (2443) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 8, 2009
500ml bottle. Pours a clear lighter yellow straw color with a fantastic tall dense but airy frothy white head, the kind that’ll stick around and leave you a mustache. Aroma is slightly tangy at first, sharp, fruity, some apple, grassy, becomes doughy after a while. Flavor is typical Weltenburger subtlety, extremely well balanced, soft and quaffable, some sharp slightly tart apple, a bit doughy, herbal, lemon-grass, finishing super clean, yeasty with medium bitterness. A perfect palate, medium/light bodied, soft carbonation with a faint sizzle, super clean but with enough substance to make it worthwhile. Great dry finish. This makes me crave pizza.

This is very polished. Dark yellow. Tasty. Banana, grain. Marshmellow. Thin head. This tastes like history. Thanks Seymour. Lore (2746) - Budapest, HUNGARY - JAN 16, 2013
UPDATED: FEB 1, 2013 pale goldeb colour, medium, white head; malty aroma with some yeast; greatly ballanced malty sweetness and hoppy bitternes with enjoyable bitter aftertaste for minutes; really great pilsener; strongly recommended cubs (10635) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - JUL 11, 2013
Bottle @ home picked up @ Wilbur’s Fort Collins. I’ve never seen Weltenburger in Fort Collins but the bottles that have shown up in Denver were less than satisfactory. I think I’ve had this one time and that was at Kelheim. Pours a fairly clear golden appearance with a touch of haze and a nice white head. Big herbal pils, cracker malty, fairly dry, lightly mineralic aroma. A touch sweet but fairly dry, pils malty, straw, moderately herbal hoppy flavor. Easy drinking and one of the freshest German Pils I’ve had in Colorado in quite a while. May have to pick up a couple of more. Gary (1999) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 28, 2013
UPDATED: DEC 16, 2014 (Bottled) A Good ass Pils , expressive ,dry and hoppy -nice bitter woodiness, some bready malt and herbal notes . NIce Pils. Berard (639) - Salem, New Hampshire, USA - SEP 27, 2013
Draft. Pours golden yellow with light white head that laces nicely. Very little visible carbonation. Nice German pils flavor typical of the style. Very drinkable and refreshing.
