I was thinking soft and mellow for a Winter ale and then I see Vienna lager and it makes sense. Easy drinking, wet hay notes, Some sweetness. A wee bit watery, but an nice all around brew.

Copper color with 1 finger white head. Aroma of malt , toast. Taste is light sweet and quite drinkable. Light body, watery texture, soft to average carbonation. Not bad but I was expecting more.

Poured a light golden color with a large white head. Aroma is quite skunky with some pale malts and spices. A touch of yeast and rice as well. Taste is silky and smooth with malty flavors. Some slightly fruity notes especially in the finish. A good amount of spices mix well with the doughy earthy flavors. Overall pretty flavorful and good.

Rated 2/6/07: I, like some of the others here got excited about finding this bottle being labeled as a "winter" brew, and then experienced sadness when I found out it was only a Vienna Lager......but after drinking this I am a happy man. Maybe the mood was just right but this one really hit the mark tonight. Nothing unrealistic in relation to the style just a pleasant example. Sweet aroma, very bready/biscuity with a hint of stinging sour fruit. Beautiful light amber pour with a frothy head and a nice ring of lacing at the top. Sharp mouthfeel, clean and simple. Nice toasted flavor mixed in with an ample helping of sweet malt. Lightly hopped supplying a quick burst of bitterness. Doesn’t excel in any category but overall I give it a deserving 8 for sheer enjoyment.

mikkopen (1156) - Guelph, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 27, 2012
500 ml bottle. Clear deep amber colour, thin white head. Aroma of sweetish toasted malt, butter and grassy hops. The flavour is sweetish malty, with notes of nuts and a mildly grassy-hoppy finish.

frylock (1135) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - NOV 13, 2004
Hazy orange/brown, thin white head. Light fruit, malt, some butter in the aroma. Light sweetness, toasty malts. Some pear and apple, moderate bitter finish. so-so.

Cristobal37 (1123) - Budapest, HUNGARY - DEC 20, 2015
Bronze with ample head, similar to a marzen. Caramel, toast, malts, sticky maple syrup. Similar to their barock dunkel. Actually Christmasy! Ginger bread and dunkel beer! Pretty cool, I like it.
