Smooth n' rounded. The bitterness comes late but is very pleasant........... JPDIPSO (6262) - Wauwatosa, USA - APR 9, 2004
Rich golden to light amber color. Dark cream colored head with thick lace at each quaff. Lots of malt in the nose somewhat plain. Rich sweet malt with a nice floral to spicy noble hop recovery. malt linger to awesome. Not quite as smooth as the others I have had from this Monastery, but still a substantial brew. Orange pour with cream colored head. Malty and sweet taste. Great palate, not too thick but not thin and watery. jpm30 (1587) - East Central, Georgia, USA - FEB 25, 2006
From a 500ml. euro brown bottle with a bottles date on the back label. Made a very good appearance, poured a clear oranged hued copper with a large foamy, bubbly white head that leaves a decent amount of ringed lacing. Had a big, sweet, honey, caramel bready aroma, a subtle nuttiness and a floral hoppiness in the background. Good carbonation and a slick, smooth, textured flavored medium bodied mouth feel, good drinkability. Delicious tasting, sweet breadiness covered in honey, a toasted graininess, caramel maltiness, a gentle rolling hop bitterness and a dry, crisp, sharp, sweet malty finish.

Medium white head. Clear roast brown colour. Likewise roasty aroma. Caramel taste with notes of coffee. Wonderful roast palate. Beerbarella (348) - - DEC 7, 2012
500 ml bottle. Pours clear orange-brown with a medium sized white head. Spicy-roasty caramel aroma. Spicy taste fading into a roasty, slightly bitter palate. StueyD (1586) - Heacham, Norfolk, ENGLAND - DEC 30, 2014
A mid amber brown coloured beer with a thick white head. A strong malty aroma, caramel and a hint of bready spice. Dry mouthfeel. There is a tartness to the taste in the beginning, maybe a suggestion of hop, but then the malt flavour charge through! Caramel and bready, loads of dried fruit, herbal and a touch of warming vanilla and cinnamon. The finish has all the elements that last for a long while! Bierkrug (2129) - - NOV 23, 2009
500 ML Bottle in Germany. Deep Amber color, with a full orange off white head. Wonderful complex aroma, with earthy grass and hints of spicy herbs. Taste is very well done and perfect for winter foods in Germany. Nice mix of hops and sweet flavors. Palate is full but not overpowering. A really good beer. A great Vienna by any standard! Bottle. Lovely amber color. Rich, malty aroma that is spicy as well. Fruity flavor with caramel, cherry and other fruits, biscuits and bread. Fabulously complex malts. Very nice stuff.
