guzzler67 (1696) - Hanover, Maryland, USA - APR 30, 2007
Clear, deep amber appearance with a large, off white head and modest lacing. Sweet, bready, caramel malt aroma. Rich, roasted malt taste with low keyed hoppiness, bittersweet chocolate and toffee. Turns a little bit more bitter, along with a hint of sourness, in the aftertaste. Smooth, medium-to-full bodied, softly carbonated mouthfeel. Lingering, long lasting finish.

This beer pours a very clear copper color. It smells faintly like caramel. It is slightly sweet to taste, which quickly turns into a slight bitterness then leaves the mouth cleanly. No after-taste. It is very drinkable.

500ml bottle. Clear, deep amber with a fizzy off white head. Scads of carbonation bubbles. Lots of sweet caramel in the nose, light grain and mild grass. Sweet caramel flavor with a mild grassy bite. A light spiciness is behind all that. Medium body, just a touch syrupy considering the lively carbonation. A really nice drinker.

Pours amber with with a fully receding off-white head. Notes of caramelized wort, bready, toasted malt, plum, earthy malt. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

On tap at Gourmet Haus Staudt. Excellent appearance. Pours a very clear amber color with a nice frothy white head and good lacing. Aroma is pleasant and fruity with sweet caramel malt and some spices. Flavor is not intense but is good and balanced. Sweet caramel and pale malt, light fruits and nuts, and a hint of spice. This is pretty tasty, especially for the style. Medium body with a nice smooth mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Drinkability is pretty good. Overall this won’t blow you away, but it’s really great and interesting for a Vienna/marzen. A little underrated in my opinion.

Nena (963) - Seattle, Washington, USA - FEB 28, 2011
Medium coppery gold pour, large white head. Smells midly fruity, bready, doughy, lots of floral hops but not dominated by them. Also tastes bready, doughy, toasty with some honey sweetness, has a very nice floral hops flavor that develops as it finishes with a little earthiness, finishes very clean and lightly bitter. A well-made beer that would be accessible to many.

ogreface (1390) - Budapest, HUNGARY - DEC 26, 2011
Sörspecialista, Budapest. Rézvörös színű ital, ami kristálytisztán csillog a poharunkban.

Bottle (50 cl) from bierzwerg.de. Clear amber, medium off-white head. Bready and sugary malt aroma, with grassy and herbal hops. Light to medium bodied, medium carbonation. Semi dry with medium bitterness.

ganache (5898) - New Jersey, USA - JUN 5, 2012
200th rating for this beer. Bottle by 29.08.2012. Cracker and caramel nose, sticky malt with a little toffee and faint roast. Dark orange-brown body with a creamy beige head. Lightly bittersweet, a nice rounded malt flavor and quite crisp and prickling with a crackery-bready note in with the juicy hops and citrus in the aftertaste. Medium body, really nice Vienna.

SkillsFactory (738) - ITALY - DEC 22, 2016
