A delicious chestnut bitter with a full malt character and finished with a delicate balance of Whitbread hops.

Pours a reddy brown colour, head quickly dissapates, taste is full and malty with some spice

Grumbo (4264) - Ipswich, Suffolk, ENGLAND - SEP 20, 2016
Bottle from B&M. Pours chestnut brown with a bubbly white head. Aroma of caramel, fruit and light Christmas spices. Medium sweetness, light bitterness. Body relatively light, texture is oily, carbonation fizzy. Finish has a bitter edge with fizziness lasting.

tinylightsrecs (437) - - JUL 25, 2015
Bottle from B&M Team Valley. Pours deep chestnut. Pretty sour flavour but (a little) better than suggested. Berries, nuts, water. Not one I'd plan to revisit

ManVsBeer (11168) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JUN 24, 2015
Bottle from Rhythm & Booze, Huddersfield. Coppery amber with a very thin head. Has a decent toffee nose with some of this evident in its flavour. Has quite a lot of activity and fizz in the palate.

Une des pires bières que j’ai eu l’occasion de boire, pas de corps, peu de bulles , pas de col, ils ont aussi du oublier les Aromes en brasserie... Le carnage.

Bail (12) - Staffordshire, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - JUN 9, 2015
I also bought this beer from B&M Bargains for £1. I have to agree, it is probably the worst commercially brewed beer I have ever tasted. I occasionally brew my own from kits and it knocks spots off this. No head, very little taste, very little life, sounded and fizzed like a poor home brew when poured into the glass. Very poor.

berkshirejohn (6767) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - MAY 21, 2015
50cl bottle from B&M, Reading. Unlike most recent ratings, this bottle actually had some live in it and produced a reddish chestnut pour with a reasonable cream head, and some signs of carbonation. Apart from that it’s a rather basic boring bitter, with a biscuity aroma; sweet caramel malt taste; the faintest hint of hops; and a biscuity finish. Drinkable, but not a beer to relish.

daviv (1) - WELLINGBOROUGH, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - APR 28, 2015 does not count
This was bought from b & m store for just over 1£ per bottle.Bought only 2 luckily as both smelt and tasted terrible, stale and vinegary with no head.According to the label best before is Feb 2016 so must be a problem with something getting in during the brewing process rather than age.

imdownthepub (15524) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - APR 23, 2015
Bottled, 500ml from Home Bargains in Banbury. Reddish amber with no head, flat. This proved to be a real stinker of a beer, acidic, off. Drain pour.

redders1974 (1700) - Greater Manchester, ENGLAND - MAR 8, 2015
Shocking beer on discount at b and m says it all really shouldn’t have expected much but this is rank looks smells and tastes like pond water went down the sink after a mouth full notes of viniger and cat piss. L

sdmmb (1857) - BELGIUM - MAR 4, 2015
Drunk from 50cl bottle bought at Bierhuis, Ossett. Malty, chestnut flavoured bitter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
