July 14, 2013 - at Rhino - on draught. Clear bright light gold with a smallish head. Aroma has little funky sourness, mostly just clean apple with a bit of floral sweetness, a little chardonnay white wine thing too - you smell that alcohol. Taste follows, more apple, quite ripe, hint of core and seed bitterness. Light body, acidity and carbonation - finishes fairly dry and pleasant. Very good, if simple.

Bottle given to me by a friend. Pours an almost clear with a tinge of gold. No head at all. Nose is a touch of Apple. Tastes sweet, and a little tart. Dry.

neongolden (1822) - Linköping, Sweden/Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 13, 2016
(Sample on tap @ Bellwoods Brewery, Jan 7 2016) Pours clear straw gold with basically no head. Aroma of apple with some sweet floral honey, skin and some yeast with a hint of dusty funky character. Flavour is light to moderately sweet apple flesh, a bit of skin, tart and fairly crisp, a little floral honey that builds into a fairly big floral note on the finish. Fairly light in the mouth with moderate carbonation. There’s not massive excitement here, from a cidery that is much more creative than most, but it’s a good simple dry cider base.

A golden cider with aroma of tart apples, light Brett notes, light apples skin, very nice. In mouth, sweet apple, with light mineral notes, light acidity, light Brett, very nice and smooth. On tap at Wellington Gastropub.

It pours almost clear with a greenish straw tint; the white head dissipates quickly. The aroma has notes of: faint apple smell, and alcohol. The taste is slightly sweet and tart; there are notes of: cheap alcohol stank, pears, and apples. The palate is light bodied with heavy carbonation; the finish is weak. Overall, piss poor cider - leaves a cheap booze taste in your mouth.
