Copper to umber in color. Modest ecru colored head. Sweet caramel and grains in the aromas. Hints of dried herbal hops. Lightly sweet with a toasted malt and sweeter biscuit backdrop. Quite bitter in the finish, with some iron and blood. Light linger, with just a bit of sweetness. Fairly average amber. 9/10

Pours an almost clear caramely amber. Good medium to large frothy lasting tan head with good lacing. Aroma is light sweet and semi dry, malty, caramel, minerals. Touch of fruitiness. Flavor follows. Easy drinking. Crisp. Solid medium plus body. Mildly bitter with mid dryness through a quick finish. A basic, solid beer. Honestly, much better than I expected. Malty, possibly a little fruity. Taste is similar moderate body, very drinkable. Something about it reminds me of hanging out on the porch in the summer time, I don’t know why wlajwl (6813) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - JUL 2, 2012
Aroma is sweetish malts and a hint of spice. The flavor is malts, medium sweetness and an off twang in the finish. twindadplus2 (715) - Wisconsin, USA - JUN 4, 2012
12 oz. bottle. Deep coppery red color with a small beige head. Aroma is caramel malt, sweet toffee and a bit of piney hops. Creamy palate with flavors of herbal hops, molasses and lightly roasted malt. The finish is long and nicely bitter. I actually enjoyed this one more than I thought I would.

I like the beer, but couldn’t drink more than a few in one sitting. a crisp, rich, creamy feel in the lips. brbueller (3) - Campbellsport, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 21, 2011 does not count
I found this beer to be very enjoyable. You can taste the hops used in brewing yet there is no bitter aftertaste. I’d highly recommend this to anyone who likes red ales burg326 (5482) - Florida, USA - NOV 6, 2011
12 ounce bottle that poured an amber color with aromas of honey, pine, and sweet malts. Flavor is the same, with a touch of molasses, and a touch of fruit. A slight bitter aftertaste at the end. jebert (500) - Watertown, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 30, 2011
Pours a reddish copper with a fairly thin tan head. Nose is of malt and yeast. Nice texture- fairly creamy on the palate. Malt taste is most pronounced on the front with a doughy bread flavor in the middle and a hint of hops on the finish. Overall, a very good beer. Try it with burgers, brats or hot dogs off the grill. Bottle. Deep gold / light amber pour with a smallish white head. Nose is caramel, malt, and some grass. Something a little sharp in the nose too - can’t place it. Medium-thin palate. Taste is also caramel malt, with a late but heavy dose of "I’m not all THAT well made, and here, I’ll leave you with this taste as proof." Actually improves a bit as it warms slightly from fridge temperature.
