Cask, Royal Oak, Wantage. Copper, off-white head. Candied orange aroma, a bit of spice. Light citrus bitterness, a fresh light malt background. Some earthy plum notes in the finish. A fine refreshing ale. berkshirejohn (6588) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - APR 3, 2007
Cask at the Hobgoblin, Reading. Amber with a trace of a cream head, leaving plenty of lacing; citrus aroma; fruity in the mouth with lots of orange, and an almost marmalade-like sweetness; however there is a firm lasting bitter finish which cuts through this. An excellent example of a golden ale. cgarvieuk (25391) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAY 25, 2010
Golden amber ... thin white bubbly head ... soft light lemon hop nose ... zezty lemon peel ... bright sweet grapefruit ... quite hoppy ...and almost lagery .... but not enough to ruin it ... again im quite liking it. Mortlach (2467) - Rome, ITALY - FEB 19, 2012
18/02/2012 Brasserie 4:20 (cask). Bevuta al Real Ale Beer Festival direttamente dal cask. Dorata, lievemente torbida, schiuma assente. Al naso sentori di malto con note fruttate di mela e pera. In bocca è equilibrata, morbida, rinfrescante con delicata luppolatura inglese. Scarica di corpo, carbonazione soft ma non troppo. Molto beverina, gradevole, ben fatta. Cask Stillage at the Bhurtpore Inn, Aston 09/07/2005
Golden coloured and slightly rich on the palate with a malt aroma. Some dryness and bitterness in a lasting finish.
Ethereal (2421) - Los Angeles, California, USA - MAY 23, 2010
Bottle from Drink of Fulham, drunk at home, 23rd May 2010. Bright gold with a full, fluffy white head. Nose has nice restrained hop notes over biscuity malt at first but gets a bit funky as you get down the glass. Full bodied without being heavy. Decent balance and a dry, earthy finish. Average golden ale. daniele (9463) - ITALY - APR 12, 2013

Cask gravity at Reading BF 06. Amber beer. Not much of anything. Some hop, some toffee. Actually this got better as I sipped it. I don’t normally like toffee dominated bitters, but this one worked DanielBrown (4527) - Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, ENGLAND - MAY 1, 2006
Gravity at Reading beer festival 2006. Tawny, flat. Hoppy, leather aroma. Nice to start, some orchard. Gets boring to finish. Beese (3051) - Watford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - DEC 1, 2014
Cask gravity at the Bucklebury Beer Festival 2012. Poured a lightly hazy deep golden, with a rocky white head. Aroma of floral hop, bready malt and caramel. Biscuity malt flavour, with some grassy hop and peal. Finish was dough, balanced flowery hop and grain.
