Cask. Hazy golden with no head. Tart and very authentic apple aroma - lots of honey as well. Medium body, flat with very astringent apple accents quickly balanced by a fruity sweetness. Has a whiff of acetone, well actually a bit more than a whiff - it makes me cough! A rather authentic and interesting cider. 180110 Ethereal (2471) - Los Angeles, California, USA - DEC 31, 2009
Cask takeout from Middle Farm, Sussex, Nov 09. Clear bright gold. Bit of dusty, plaster aroma. Smooth, dry aftertaste that’s just right. Little bit of soy at the front of the mouth. maeib (8749) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - OCT 9, 2009
Cask conditioned From the barrel St Albans BF 09. A hazy lime green coloured cider with an off-white ring of bubbles for a head. The aroma has some spritzy funk together with the obvious apple. There are sweet and sour notes in the nose. In the mouth are sweetish apples and a good full body. On the sweet side of medium and very drinkable and enjoyable without ever being challenging. Octoberfest, 2007. Cloudy golden cider with a sweet and mild aroma , and a plainly sweet flavour. Overall an average cider.
UPDATED: MAR 28, 2010 Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 4/10/07. Opaque orange with minimal head. Aroma was a mix of yeasty farmyard and inviting apple juice. Flavour of tart apples with a very long dry finish. Dangerously drinkable for the ABV. Excellent [4.0]. Re-rate at the Cotham Porter Stores, Bristol 22/03/10. Much sweeter this time around, with a distinct caramel edge and lacking in complexity [3.2].
