Very clear, light orange pour with little head. Tart apple and orange on the nose. Blood orange and passionfruit taste, with a very smooth, silky texture. Ends with a slight hint of apple.
Pours deep gold into a tulip. Bright white head with good retention recedes to skim surface. Biscuit and yeast aromas. Sweet caramel and yeast upfront turning to coriander in the lasting finish. wchesser (2083) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAY 4, 2016
Draft. Slightly cloudy straw yellow. Nose is cloves and banana. Taste is lightly sweet with flavors of wheat, banana, and cloves with an unclean, slightly chemical bitter finish. snoworsummer (5746) - baltimore, Maryland, USA - NOV 1, 2015
Draft at the brewpub. Pours opaque bright gold with a fizzy white head. Tastes like bubblegum, herb, fruit, banana, and doughy malt. Light body and medium carbonation. Smells like bubblegum, herbs, cracker malt, and banana. BeerViking (4908) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 11, 2015
UPDATED: JUN 4, 2017 Tap at WFB, cloudy amber-gold with a thin head, more banana on the nose plus a little spice - is this meant to be a Belgian Pale or a Bavarian Hefe? Warming alcohol bite plus a sweet fruity mid body. Drinkable but a bit confused - the sweetness doesn’t really work with the Witbier spiciness or the Hefe fruitiness. Re-rate at WFB, dry-sweet, spicy and full bodied, I’m still not sure what style it’s meant to be, but it’s smooth.

August 11th, 2013 - West Flanders’ Trippel Lutz is very cleverly named, and quite an interesting beer, in spite of a lower score currently posted on Ratebeer. The scent is somewhat straightforward, with perhaps too much creamy banana smells, like a vanilla soft serve. But the flavor is at least unique. It’s almost soda like - a Canada Dry base with lemon. This is not my favorite approach to beer, but it’s a curiously interesting light touch. Mep3222 (1574) - East Greenbush, New York, USA - AUG 21, 2014
Banana nutty with some yeasty, some citrus in there. Low carbonation and a bit soapy finish. Pretty good.

On tap at West Flanders poured a cloudy gold with a small lingering off white head. Aromas of straw, citrus, yeast and light vanilla. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of straw, yeast, citrus and light vanilla with a smooth lingering citrus finish. bubbleflubber (2228) - Swannanoa, North Carolina, USA - JUL 19, 2013
On tap at the brewery, it's a gorgeous hazy straw, pillowy-head beauty. The nose had nice integrations of vanilla extract and chocolate candies. Flavors have some vanilla, some light Belgian candi and yeast strains, but it's hindered by the lackluster body and thin mouthfeel. It's just not indicative of a Trippel. A lost opportunity here. This had so much promise, too.

Hazy/opaque golden with a sticky and thick white foamy head. Smells like bready apple-y yeast farts. Thankfully it tastes better with funky earthy blonde grains and pear and lightly toasted bread and lots of earthy yeast. Maybe a touch of vanilla.
