Great hop aroma. Just floral and somewhat citrus on the nose. Nice malt sweetness that with the hops creates a grapefruit like flavor. Not overly bitter for an American IPA. It’s nice to see a good IPA that’s from Kentucky. After drinking two the hops starts to dominate the palate and the grapefruit becomes more floral.
UPDATED: JUL 28, 2017 On tap in Louisville KY Birracibo. Pours deep gold, moderate head that quickly dissipated. Light lacing. Balanced hops and malt on the nose, a bit more malty than most IPAs. Balanced flavor, tight and crisp, medium mouthfeel appropriate to style. Floral, herbal and citrusy. Hint of harsh bitterness but otherwise a very good IPA and well worth a try. bulldogops (2726) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 24, 2017
Rating #2495 - 2016.05.04 - Sample at BrewExpo at CBC - Clear golden amber pour with a weak, white head that bubbles away to a ring. Aroma is strong , pine needle super oily, resinous, lemon cake. Taste is more of the same, dry earthy bitters, lemon, caramel, pine. Lovely IPA. drowland (8888) - Georgia, USA - APR 5, 2017
12/19/16. On tap at JP’s in Paducah. Orange pour with a small khaki head. Citrus hops and some floral aspects on the aroma. Okay flavor, some citrus, pale malts, a touch of caramel. Not bad. edwardbass (853) - Illinois, USA - APR 3, 2017
Canned 3/6/2017, so quite fresh. Aroma is lost on me thanks to my sinuses. Slightly murky golden yellow color with almost no head. Taste is pine resin hops with not enough malt balance, so the bitterness dominates a bit too much. Very dry, would probably benefit dramatically if it had better balance. Bitterness lingers for quite a while. It’s OK at best. JTParis (23) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAR 24, 2017
Sunny March day in Lexington, so what’s better than a nice IPA really to get into it?

Light citrus. Some malt. Pours dark brown with good head and lacing. Nutmeg and caramel with some smoke like nutcrackers on fire. Sweet finish. Can. kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 18, 2016
Can. Pours a clear copper body with a one finger frothy off-white head that faded to a thin film. The nose is more hops than malt, which is a good thing. Citrusy and slightly floral, with some bready and caramel maltiness. The flavor is nicely bitter with some resiny and citrusy hops that keep the slightly sweet caramel and toasty malt sweetness at bay pretty well. Lingering light bitterness on the finish. Medium bodied with a rather sturdy malt backbone and soft fizzy carbonation. Pretty decent IPA. zvikar (6263) - Ramat Gan, ISRAEL - OCT 29, 2016
Orange, nice head, aroma of marmalade, orange, flavor of marmalde, cheese, orange, sweet, medium bodied. willisread (3465) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - OCT 28, 2016
UPDATED: JAN 1, 2017 Re:rate: Tap at Maloney’s. Pours a clearish gold with a finger of white foam that lingers. Big orange and tangerine notes on the nose. Super refreshing with with citrus. Thankfully the pine notes are a bit muted. Lingering orange. Tap at CYO Brewing. Caramel, pine, honey and a bit of orange zest on the nose. Some grapefruit character as it warms. Medium body. Fairly bitter finish. Solid NW-style IPA, but a little old school for me. That being said, fairly easy drinking.
