UPDATED: APR 30, 2013 I cannot and will not say that this is the best beer in the world; such a proclamation from me would be nonsense. Still, this is the first beer I feel the need to give a 5. From the first time I had this beer, I have really been enamored with it. The body is a beautiful, translucent copper/orange, and the head is of the frothy, sticky whipped topping variety. The aroma is moderate grapefruit hops with perhaps a bit of white pepper/pine thrown in; the caramel malts are not overly sweet but are a nice underpinning to the featured hops. The flavor matches the nose; grapefruit, pine, semi-sweet malts all terminate into a dry, but not arid finish. The palate is medium, sticky and pillowy soft. Glad to have this again and again, and would not be ashamed to stand this by the best IPAs out there. Lunchb0x (20) - Prestonsburg, Kentucky, USA - MAY 31, 2013
Amazing brew! The first IPA I've had with a strong citrus taste. Can't wait to get my hands on some more of this and hopefully they win their lawsuit with Magic Hat. I kept the can in case they're forced to change the label though.

A truly delicious IPA discovered while traveling through the Midwest. Wish this was all over the country robloc303 (268) - Erie, Colorado, USA - JAN 5, 2014
Pours hazy gold, thick white head. Tropical nose, pineapple, green apple, lemon, orange, citra. Flavor is fruity with a perfect balance of bitterness! One of the best IPAs I’ve ever had! hayseo (27) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - MAY 22, 2013
This is my favorite IPA. I live in Louisville and most of taprooms I go to have West Sixth IPA on tap and it is very good. But I bought a 6pack and it as not as good. Too sour on the sides of the tongue. So my ranking based on draft beer. I talked to a brewery rep once and he said they use cans because it keeps the beer fresher. The are proud that they are one of few craft breweries the to able to can beer. But I think the can makes it look cheap.

Pours golden, hazy color, with maybe the most impressive lasting, lacey head I’ve ever seen on an IPA. The bottom of the glass still had a quarter inch of head. Aroma is big floral, citrus, and pine really nice. Taste is complex hop with a malt balance that is usually missing in IPAs, providng the hop forward taste we look for without being either boring or harsh on the palate. Finishes with lingering bitterness, but again not harsh. Truly underrated as I write this. Thanks drfabulous for putting this in the trade; nice one. ryanp08 (2) - - OCT 9, 2013 does not count
Canned. The aroma is glorious. Pours beautifully with a haze. Hits the palate with grapefruit and pine. It is EXACTLY what you should be looking for in an IPA!

Poured from can into snifter, this one is a hazy orange with a very creamy two finger head, tiny bubbles with a fair amount of lacing. The aroma is pine heavy also citrus zest with some tropical fruits in the background. the taste matches the aroma very well, pine up front as well with some pineapple towards the finish and very bitter all the way through, I am not picking up the alcohol content it is masked very well. Overall this is a great IPA, for a brand new brewery with one canned product this is amazing and I am glad to have tried this. I really hope this reaches the western kentucky area soon, it will become a regular of mine if it does, very nice! DConMan (114) - Ballwin, Missouri, USA - AUG 17, 2012
Enjoyed on-tap @ Mellow Mushroom in Lexington, KY for $4.50. Tapped from the Wooden Tap Handle w/ a 6 & Star on the top into a 16oz Pint Glass. One of the only locals on-tap here so had to go for it!
Aroma- Huge hops both citrus and fruity are the strongest part of this aroma. Distant sweetness and malt are included.
Appearance- Received wit h a 2 finger, creamy head that has great retention. Has a light-medium clear copper orange body. Leaves thick lacing behind. Perfect IPA appearance!
Flavor- Very fruity and hops galore. Can’t put my finger on them. Dry hopped and all. Medium Bitterness level.
Mouthfeel- Medium Bodied, Medium Carbonation, CREAMY, sweet fruits and citrus at finish.
Overall Impression- One of my favorite IPA’s I’ve had this summer (besides ones that I’ve had multiple times). Has an awesome creaminess and fruit character that kicks ass. Recommend if your in KY to try some of this!
