Poured a purplish brown color with a thin white head. Strong aroma of mainly ginger. Tastes of mainly ginger again and some cinnamon. Too spiced for my liking. Dogbrick (13010) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JAN 28, 2008
Sample at the brewpub. This beer is a clear dark amber color with a thin and creamy white head that dissipates quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of sweet spices (ginger and clove) along with touches of malt and hops. Medium body, with a borderline cloying sweetness. Spices are dominant here with little support from the hops that are present. The finish is thin and sweet with a lingering spice aftertaste. Below average overall.
