Bottle shared at the Foothills bottle share... thanks for setting it up, Mike! Blonde pour. There’s some definite apple brandy, but it’s fairly oxidized. Dry and loads of carbonation. Off. CloakedDagger (2575) - - APR 15, 2014
Bottle 75 cl. Comes as a massive and violent gusher leaving less than 50% of the original content left in the bottle - so be warned! Pours a cloudy, opaque orange with a thick, off-white head. Heavy Brett aroma combined with some wood and apricot. Medium body, very soft on the palate - smooth even. Has a harsh sulphurous note, again wood and apricots with some funk on the side. And also quite a bit of bitterness in the finish. A rather messy brew - in so many ways. 150414

I never saw this beer hit the shelves in Georgia. Luckily, it was on the shelf of the Porter’s Cellar. Pours light amber with solid, lasting white head. Scent is booze, caramel, and fruit. Taste is sweet with earthy barely bitter finish. Light-medium body with mild carbonation bite. Bottle - The Porter - Atlanta, GA drowland (8829) - Georgia, USA - NOV 9, 2013
11/9/13. Bottle thanks to Adam at Sweet Grass. I wasn’t aware this was a sour... is it supposed to be? HUGE hiss when I popped the cap and a solid plug of foam slowly started coming out the neck of the bottle. Really super hazy orange pour with floating particulates under a giant, tight, fluffy off-white head that sticks and coats the glass. Hopefully this was intentional, I guess? Wow, this is a strange brew... Weird aroma, definite Brett in there, and a fruity aspect to boot, but definitely a cream and marshmallow aspect as well, combined with a sugary caramel aspect, it sincerely reminds me of dulce de leche ice cream and also s’mores. Hmm. Taking a sip I get more of that caramel aspect, combined with coconut and buttery vanilla, it reminds of tart, fruity pina colada that went really heavy on the vanilla, coconut, and cream. Strange. More sniffs and sips and the buttery cream aspect keeps pounding at my senses and a booziness pops through. Possibly an infected batch or bottle, not really in a good way. The infection blended with the brandy is really goofy, on purpose or not in this case. jbruner (4857) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - NOV 8, 2013
April 2012 bottle at the Sweet Grass Dairy Westbrook tasting. Pours a hazy golden yellow with fluffy off-white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of boozy oak, Belgian yeast, grainy biscuit, and sweet brandy. Taste follows, like a big glass of sweet bready yeast. Nice stuff. rbrazell (1698) - Florida, USA - NOV 7, 2013
Bottle from Sweetgrass at the Westbrook beer dinner. Hazy deep gold with bits of sediment a a fluffy white head. Aroma of Brett funk, wood, leather, brandy and touch of candy sugar. Sweet in the entry with apple brandy starting to show through more with more funk and oak. So easy to drink for the alcohol. Great beer. jercraigs (10591) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 25, 2013
2013-08-17. Hazy amber body with a small white head. Aroma of pale malt, oaky character. Flavour is relatively simple up front, sweetish pale malt, light oak throughout, mild alcohol. Smooth average bodied palate, soft carbonation. Just okay. Bottle, Campground Brewdown.
