22oz. So black ale w/ off white lively head. OK nose, slight smoked citrus. Taste is huge yet lite weight & silky. Roasty. Could be more bitter in the finish & delivered a little less bubbly. Still very good & a fun contrast between looks & taste. Need to try on tap.
Bottle. Poues a dark brown with medium frothy beige head that lasts.
Aroma is floral hop and earth. Medium mouth with bitter roast, spice, and herbal. Theydon_Bois (19545) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - SEP 9, 2014

From Growler at the Pig. Pours black with a thin tan head that never left. Toasted aroma with coffee, hops, dark fruit and spice. Taste followed and was hard to place all the tastes. Great sharing beer! sunevdj (4087) - Copenhagen OE, DENMARK - JUN 18, 2013
On tap at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2012. Pours an opaque black with an off-white head and lacings. Quite bitter with a light sweetness. Aromas of fresh coffee beans and roasted malts. The hops are kinda mellow, but you can still make out hoppy hints of resin, spruce and grape fruit. Medium to full bodied. Dry finish with more hops.

Coffee aroma. Medium body, with a dry, slightly bitter taste. Slightly bitter, long lasting finish. BlackWarrior (203) - Spartanburg, South Carolina, USA - MAY 19, 2013
Huge thick, tan head - a gusher. slowly it dissipated and the eventual discovery of the dark brown beer looked good. A fairly big pine nose came up along with rosemary/lavender, dried leaves, roasted malt and espresso. Light body body that is both smooth and crisp. Dark roasted flavor is the base - think french roast/espresso. Along with the big hops and you’ve got a fairly dry/bitter beer. A sipping beer, for sure and if you enjoy dark roasted bitternes it’s your game, then you’ll love this. Well made, but not really my style. Lowenbrau (4305) - Asturias, SPAIN - FEB 22, 2013
