Aromas of sour yeast, apples
Not enough balance. Sticky.
Bottle thanks to Adam. Pours a clear copper with no head. The aroma is cherry skin, oak, leather, funk. Medium body, similar flavors to nose, nice funk, vinous, light dry finish, very good. chinchill (5312) - South Carolina, USA - JUL 5, 2015

Thanks Burg! Amber pour, light head. Nice a sour, but not crazy sour. Some cherry notes, a bit of balsamic and leathery notes. Quite tasty. burg326 (5604) - Florida, USA - MAR 19, 2015
Poured an amber red color with aromas of wet wood, sour cherries, light grapes and some light funk. Flavors were a mixture of light funky wine with some cherry notes. I really dug this bottle glad I got to share this with a couple people. hopscotch (11236) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - NOV 11, 2014
Bottle... This beer rocks!… Deep ruby pour with no head. This looks like red wine – no varietal or region in particular. The nose offers a mélange of white oak funkiness accompanied by cherry and grape Kool-Aid fruitiness. Medium-bodied with modest carbonation. The flavor furnishes tart, fruity, purple grapes, black cherries, woodiness and a mild measure of tannic bitterness. Fruity, Sweet-Tart aftertaste. Kudos to ctipping for sharing this gem!

UPDATED: JUL 27, 2014 Bottled 2/19/130 at Edmunds Oast. Ruby head pour with a thin white head. Aroma of lactic sourness, red wine, brandies plums, cherries, wood and tart citrus acid. Almost still carbonation, very similar with a Hannsens style to it, sour cherry, stone fruits, rain, lactic acid with some bitter tannins. Pretty solid. Bottle split at the Manny G tasting, big thanks to Manny for yet another Westbrook offering, 28/06/14.Opaque chestnut brown with a moderate beige swirl and edgeing that doesn’t stay around for long.
Nose is dank wood, boozey tones, yeast esters, dates, acidic vibes, bitter dark fruit skins, light brett characteristics.
Taste comprises dark fruit peel, apricot, spice, light booze, bitter orange, light brett and damp booze stained wood - but pretty subtle, funky earthy licks.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light acidity in the close.
Decent enough Flemish Red but as with the Grumpy - just lacks a little depth when measured against the ABV.

Bottle thanks to Manny G. It pours cloudy deep mahogany brown with a tiny bubbly tan head. The nose is tangy, fruity, mild acid, wood, creamy, lactic, vanilla and dark fruits. The taste is tart, tangy, decent acidity, dried berry, dark fruits, wood, peach and damp wood with a dry finish. Medium+ body and soft carbonation. A touch acidic, but decent enough. Bottle shared in London - big thanks to Manny G. Pours mostly clear amber with a slight, bubbly head. Lots of tangy fruits in the nose, acidic berries, leather. Medium sweet flavor with robust acidity, more tart and leathery berries, some alcohol, wet wood. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Warming finish with lasting sour fruits, berries, wood, slight funk, a few leaves. Nice. bottleforager (3208) - Gray, Maine, USA - FEB 24, 2014
Pours a rusty caramel color with no visible bubbles... still in fact. The nose is a mixture of oxidized caramel, toffee and layers of sour dark fruits, horsehair and vinegar. The palate follows the nose with a weird contrast between sweet old ale notes and acidic dark fruit and a long vinous finish. The two layers never seem to harmonize quite right making for a beer that has two good parts that don’t come together very well.
