Bottle, 650 ml from Beergium. Shared with rest at the grand tasting 11/2016. pours black with lasting small brown head. Heavy malty, lots of chocolate, cocoa, very cakeish like chocolate fudge or brownie. Bit spicy. Moderate sweetness, oily, soft carbonation. Full bodied. Great one, a proper liquid dessert. Black body, with a medium, creamy, coffee-colored head.
Aroma of dark chocolate, cocoa, liquorice, cinnamon, vanilla.
Tastes of dark chocolate, hot chili, vanilla, cinnamon, some coconut, some dark fruits.
Medium, oily mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.
Finishes hot, roasty, moderate sweet, with chocolate, cocoa, some coffee, some liquorice.
Very nice. Really smooth nose, with roasty and sweet notes. Taste has too much hot chili for me, a bit too overpowering. Still a really nice sipper.

Botted 05/08/2015. black Color, small coffee Colored head. smells cinnamon, chocolate, bit peppery, chlorophyl, cookies, very nice smell. full body, light carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes cinnamon, chocolate, spices, peppery, light sweetness, coffee, peppery. finishes rather strong on the peppers with notes of cinnamon, spices and some chocolate. quite good one, but also rather too strong on the chili side, lovely cinnamon though, but well, the chilis overlay everything. like the cinnamon. Pours dark brown to black with zero head. No lacing. Aromas of raw cocoa beans, vanilla, cinnamon, some smoked wood and rum. Very balanced flavours of bittersweet roasted malts, cocoa beans, coke leaves, roasted coffee and discreet hints of smoked wood. The spiciness of the chilies is mild and noticeable only towards the back end. Sweet, warming finish with a a boozy kick. Viscous and full bodied, low carbonation levels. Overall an amazing, well-rounded and petfectly balanced imperial stout which avoids burnt and ashy characters. I’m not a fan of spiced imperial stouts, but this is a great example of this sub-style. Pours pitch black with a small mocca head. Aroma is dark chocolate, cinnamon, vanilla, chocolate ice cream. Taste is sweet and bitter in a really balanced way - chocolatey and desert like.
