Bottle @ Himmeriget, Copenhagen.
Pours pitch black with a small mocha head.
Aromas of dark chocolate, oaky, woody notes, cinnamon, burned wood, fudgey, apple cake sweetness, light chili spice, vanilla. WOW.
Taste is sweet apple brandy, chilies, dark chocolate, vanilla, fudgey, cinnamon, dry malty, almost cracker-like sweetness to it aswell. Once again, WOW. This beer is absolutely fantastic and flies right into my over all top 3, ever. HonusWagner (2168) - Florida, USA - JAN 26, 2014
Truly a remarkable beer. Nose gives apple, cinnamon spice, some cocoa. Taste follows suit, but has a really excellent meshing of the apple character with the spice notes and the chocolate sweetness isn’t overwhelmingly rich to take those flavors to the background. Somehow manages to not taste boozy at all, and the apple flavor comes extremely naturally rather than tasting like flavored alcohol. I wouldn’t say this is as good a pure stout as AB Hunahpu, probably because the base beer isn’t in the same realm of awesomeness, but it’s got a flavor profile that really differentiates itself. Extremely grateful to have had a nice large glass of this. bursprak (3205) - Aarhus, DENMARK - MAR 9, 2016
Bottle @ Himmeriget. Pitch black pour with a dark tan head (just like the others). Tons of spice, cinnamon, bitter chocolate, caramel, red apple, apple skin, some chilli heat and light roast. Super good! MotherBrother (945) - Aalborg, DENMARK - MAR 23, 2016
So I’m a dane - you all know where I got this. If you need to ask, you’ll never.
Split two ways, cause we don’t do them dane-pours.
Pours pitch n’ dirty oily black, with no head at all.
Atoma is jam packed with goodness. Apple n’ cinnamon pie, chocolate fudge, brownie dough, plenty of wood and barrel character, bounty bar for days, slight spicy heat In the back. So damn well balanced. Oh my this is gewd. Taste is pretty darn complex, sweet up front, great amount of coffee bitterness from the middle, and the perfect amount of heat In the back. Another layer is the alcohol heat that is ther 4sho, but adds something to the pot. Semi full bodied, with as little carb as Can be, without being flat. Gewd gewd gewdie gewd. N: damn! Bounty bar, boozy brownie batter. All kinds of chocolate and spicy vanilla oak. Legend! T: tastes even better... How is that possible. Sweet and spicy fudge, pepper heat and boozy heat. Candy goodness.. Naughty stuff this.. Aftertaste is hot and boozy for a bit but turns sweet and chocolaty and lingers forever. Body is full/creamy carbonation is soft. This is what you hope for - this is what you dream about.
Thanks to hackobock & _angst_ for looking out for me big time!

Bottle courtesy of my buddy. Cheers, Zack! Pours a deep stout brown/ black with a dark tan head. Nose is chocolate, chili peppers, cinnamon, vanilla, and lovely oak, vanilla, and barrel notes. Flavor is sweet apple brandy followed by chocolate, vanilla, chilis, cinnamon, vanilla, and more brandy on the finish. This was an awesome beer and I could probably kill a case single-handedly. Rating 1900. Bottle @ Himmeriget. Pours black with a dark brown head. Aroma of chocolate, sweet caramel, cinnamon, wood, brown sugar, butterscotch,, fudge, vanilla. weak baked apples and some sweet barrel notes. Freaking awesome!! The taste is sweet and has more spice than the aroma. Also some wood, cinnamon, caramel, sweet barrel, fudge, chocolate, vanilla and you know. All the good stuff that can be pulled out of this beer with a delicious barrel. This is one of my favorites of the mexican cake variants. _angst_ (4802) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAR 26, 2016
Bottle @ Himmeriget. Pours oily black with a frothy mocha head that leaves some spotty trace on the glass while dissiapting. Smell is malty, fruity and tiny spicy with roasted malts, caramel, toffee, vanilla fudge, charred wood, luxurious dark chocolate, dark roast coffee, cinnamon, smoked chilis, caramel coated apples, moist soil, minerals, leather and calvados. Taste is sweet, bitter, malty, fruity and slightly spicy. mouthfeel is soft, round, oily, tiny astringent, tiny boozy and near full bodied. Finish is sweet and bitter soft roasty caramel malts, balanced apple fruitiness which with the cinnamon makes for some great apple pie character and a light fruity habanero burn. Another amazing barrel treatment on an amazing base beer. The apple brandy of the barrel and the cinnamon in the beer marries perfectly making this a blend of Mexican chocolate cake and American apple pie. Multi-kulti perfection! Love this!
