From notes. Enjoyed at a share up at Huffman Lake with some good dudes the weekend of September 30 through October 01. 22 oz bottle, 2016 vintage. The pour is a nice medium black with a thicker light espresso colored head and no lace as it slowly falls down to a thick ring. The aroma is pretty good. There is a definite spiciness right up front with the pepper, and then the bourbon sinks in slowly. There is a subtle chocolate and a nice vanilla that creeps in late to help round it out. I like it. The flavor is even better. The pepper and bourbon integration are just great. There is a beautiful chocolate and vanilla with a light pepper that just lingers on forever. The mouth feel is medium bodied for sure with a soft carbonation and a lingeringly spicy chocolate and bourbon finish. This is excellent, but I just wish there was a little less pepper. 7 4 8 4 15

Pours very dark almost black with an espresso cream head. Aroma has tons of brownie, peppers and coconut. Big bourbon, chocolate fudge and bounty bar. Damn.. some nose. The taste is super ballanced with mild peppers, coconut, vanilla, chocolate roasted malt and big bourbon influence. Mouthfeel is medium oily with a soft fizz. This is the cats meow, dog!

LCI. Poured from the bottle on the way back from ACBF2017. Lovely thick bodied full-flavoured BA imp stout. A liquid chocolate cake, sweet with some oomph from the peppers and lovely bourbon flavour. All very well balanced. Awesome!

Bottle. Dark brown pour with a brown head. Caramel, cinnamon, and chili bouquets. A little thinner in the body but with fantastic cinnamon, chocolate, dark roasted malt, and barrel notes. Good body and mouthfeel.

650 mL bottle. Black body with a medium khaki head. Smells of cinnamon, vanilla, bourbon, some chocolate. Tastes of cinnamon, peppers, bourbon, oak. Chocolate and roast. Spicy finish with a lingering bourbon and oak flavor. Medium heavy, but not too sweet or sluggish. A little boozy, but otherwise absolutely delicious.

Tap in Hummirgeriet Copenhagen. Dark brown - to black, spicy chocolate aroma. Sweet and very spicy taste, full body, but for me way too much chili here.

Bottle thanks to Jeremy. Pours black with tan head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is strong peppers, wood, roasted malt, cinnamon, bourbon. Medium body, similar flavors to nose, very sweet, bitter roast finish, very good.

651 ml. bottle. Bottled 3/23/16. Pours a medium, well retained, tiny bubbled dark beige head, over a clear black brown (SRM 40) body.......nose is cocoa, chocolate, bourbon, vanilla, oak, brown sugar, dried fruits......taste is moderately sweet, with brown sugar, molasses tones, also light toffee/caramel, dried fruits including plum, raisin, cocoa, chocolate, vanilla, bourbon, light tobacco, nuttiness, finishing with mild cinnamon spice, and hints of chili heat.......mouth feel, medium, sticky body, alcohol heat present, carbonation low. This is a rich, sweet, complex beer with a quite obvious alcohol burn. It falls into the dessert end of the Imperial Stout style. The multiple additives and barrel were nicely done. BJCP 8/3/15/3/7
