CBC. Very tired rating! Opaque dark brown beer, little pale tan head. Rich dark chocolate and bourbon biscuits. Touch of vanilla. Quite a light and crispy finish. Rich chocolate in this one!
Bottle 65 cl. Pours a pitch black with a huge and lively brown head with good retention. Sweet roasty nose, quite some cocoa as well. Rich sweet body, heavy carbonation, Sweet roast malts, vanilla and chilies that leave a little bite. Decent if a little to the sweet side. 270812 Leighton (21839) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 4, 2013
Sampled at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2013 - Day 2, Session 2. Pours oily black with a dark, brown cream head. Rich dark chocolate aroma with notes of decadent chocolate cake, too. Big sweet flavor, moderately roasty, with lightly charred malts and mellow earthy bitterness. Full bodied with fine carbonation and chewy texture. Sugary dark malts to finish with mild alcohol warmth and delicious chocolate cake. Indulgent and outrageously good.
