Can pour cloudy golden orange with large white head. Nose tropical fruit, papaya, grassy, maybe light pepper. Taste big to almost harsh bitter up front. Then grassy hop transition to spicy rye mid palate. Tropical fruit hop flavors appear in the aftertaste. On first sips, seems harsh up front, but settles down after a while. Keg at Kosmonaut, Manchester. Hazy orange/yellow shade. Lacing. Aroma is caramel, pine, touch of tropical fruit. Taste is really nicely balanced. Fruity with a light rye influence. Lightly dry finish, medium bitter, small amount of sweetness. Really solid pale ale with a nice rye twist. cervmagpt (837) - PORTUGAL - JUN 24, 2015
Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 18B, adapted). Can 35.5 cl - Batch unreadable. AROMA: nice grapefruit hop aroma with a subtle sweet malt background. APPEARANCE: pale gold and slightly hazy. moderate white head with average retention. TASTE: nice hop flavour with grapefruit and some pine notes. medium-high bitterness with a semi-dry and bitter finish. PALATE: medium to medium-light body with a slight velvety texture from rye. moderate carbonation and no astringency. OVERALL: an american pale ale with more balance towards the hops than usual but enjoyable nonetheless. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - JUN 24, 2015

Poured a nice lightly hazy orange color with a light beige head. Aroma was of citrusy, orangey Hood, some spicey grain, toasted. Flavor similar, incredibly balanced between orangey peach hips, moderate bitterness, fruity dark bread and light spicey character. Really nice rye influenced beer. Big headed, opaque, light orange ale with grapefruit on the nose. Flavors are grapefruit with some orange peel wrapped inside a very smooth and balanced body. The bitterness is perfectly balanced and makes this beer disappear pretty fast in the glass. Very good! lightbias (453) - USA - JUN 14, 2015
The pour is a honey-grapefruit hue, hazy and full of sediment, the head porous, rocky and lemony-white. An aroma drifts upward, reminiscent of spruce and citrus. I find oranges in a forest, a hint of apricot far behind. I tip the glass and have a first sip, a very lightweight flavor, grassy and floral. The taste sensation is dry, a hint of bitterness that adds an edge to the flavor, causing a salivatory reaction - a defense against the dryness. Enjoyable, comfortable, tasty. This is quite refreshing and I’m not surprised at my reaction, as I’ve always enjoyed the addition of rye.
The finish is short for that addition of rye, and draining the glass has led to a consistent and very pretty lacing on the inside of the tulip. A very nice experience with this truly refreshing beer, and at a very reasonable 5.5%, I’d make this my own personal after-gardening brew! Klimaet (2594) - Aarhus N, DENMARK - JUN 7, 2015
Tap @ Fermentoren, Aarhus. Pours cloudy pale orange with a medium white head. Aromas of fresh tropical fruits, light malt, hops, rye. Taste is smooth, tropical, sweet oranges, light hoppy, light malty. Low carb, smooth but slightly thin body. Pretty nice though! hub66 (486) - SWITZERLAND - JUN 7, 2015
